Maybe CINC would consider pulling back and re-negotiating our price to guard other people’s uranium and rare-earths all over.

Next door to Niger there is Mali - recall when after Hillary’s Libya debacle hordes of terrorists invaded Mali. Mali’s one of the biggest sources of gold in the world and it, too, has uranium.

Gold and uranium’s a bad combination as gold buys expertise and equipment.

I think the secret of Benghazi is Iran’s involvement... at a bad time for Zero’s Iran deal [and Corker’s too.]

Niger...sorry...

Too many Islamists groups in Africa....either we control them there by teaching the people to fight them or fight them here.

Niger doesn’t offer enough rare earth elements that we can’t get from other areas....the idea is to keep other nations fro acquiring their control.

I’m sure he’s got something in mind.

Pulling back though, absolutely not.

America is in Niger to protect Boko Haram —
the beloved terrorists of Obama and the DNC and the RINOs.
There because Nigeria hates Boko Haram and
the Obozo and his Islamic terroristophiles had to split
without any clear mission except to ‘duck’.

Yes

This really should be the French Foreign Legion’s job, with us giving logistical support.

Since they elected a President who married his mommy, it will be awhile before the get their collective heads out of there ass.

Also the French have lost more Frenchmen in France in two years then they have lost in ten years supporting us in Afghanistan. Think about it, Afghanistan is safer for a Frenchman then France!

Niger just happens to be right in the middle of the nations like Mali who are best promising sources for rare earths... and rare earths are critical for technological development in the future; whoever gets development rights- and both Russia and China are very interested-is going to be in a very good position to influence the global economy, including us. Niger is like an aircraft carrier in a sandy sea of vital resources.

Whether a safe place for terrorists, or a POTENTIAL source of uranium for a bunch of goat herders to get sick on, there is no vital US interest there.

Why do we care if ISIS kills everyone in that country?

You can care if you want. You can also sign up with a good contract agency and get over there to fight if you want.

If your asking those questions then I can’t help you understand... I’d suspect you have limited understanding of Isis....and as well our military operations throughout Africa and other nations.

I understand quite well.

You just don’t like my position on the matter.

And you still have not stated a single US interest in Niger, except Nigeria is a “major terrorist corridor”.

Yeah, duh.

You think we ought to chase all these folks down.

I don’t.

Maybe each European country should help in all of its previous colonies. We could leave Africa if I remember my history correctly.
