Freedom is more often demanded than granted.

Funny how many supposed freedom lovers try to control the actions of others.

Kinda funny how Cruise seems to glorify that the user will be driving impaired all day.

I’m thinking of smoking me a bowl of Infected Anal Fissure. It was cheap.

It would be like branding a whisky “high functioning”.

Seriously. What is more conservative than letting individuals decide for themselves whether to grow and/or consume cannabis? Let the nanny state decide for you?

It’s going to take time before the prohibitionist name for cannabis “marijuana or marihuana” fades into the dustbin of history where it belongs.

It will be a decade or more before cannabis use is normalized across most of the nation, IMO.

“All of the fancy marketing in the world cannot alter the fact that marijuana induces brain damage that is long-lasting, if not permanent.”

All your prohibitionist FUD cannot make your errant claim real. :)

“Drug peddling on FR?”

We talk about booze and nicotine, too, and they’re drugs every bit as much as pot.

“The federal Controlled Substances Act says so.”

Let’s fix this statement so it is in line with reality: “The unconstitutional federal Controlled Substances Act says so.”

There, that’s better :)

Thanks for the ping.

It’s no surprise there are marketing efforts underway to do away with the prohibitionist (BS) stigma attached to cannabis. A very good thing, IMO.

That's one of the dumbest things I've ever heard. Cracks me up when people decide to spout off about things they know exactly nothing about.

The fact that marijuana causes brain damage, especially in people below age 25, whose brains are still developing, is documented by medical research. I'm certain that scientific research is a topic that you know nothing about.

Why, pray tell, would the level of those willing & able to work drop, and what is this nonsense of "chronically unemployable"?

People who are neurologically damaged through the use of pot or other brain-damaging chemicals are not, in fact, employable. As more people become addicted to such substances, fewer people are left to shoulder the burden of keeping them alive through redistributionist tax and spend schemes. And on top of that, there are whole poverty cultures that ostracize and denigrate people who attempt to become educated and break out of the ghettos, which also puts increasing burdens on the people who are willing and able to work.

I guess that if you are one of those taking advantage of the many very generous "poverty" programs, you see nothing wrong with the system. The fact that it is unsustainable means nothing to you.

The strawberry producing industry in the United States - additional information

The garden strawberry (Fragaria × ananassa), is a plant cultivated worldwide for its usually red, sweet and aromatic fruit. The strawberries’ distinct flavor makes them popular in all forms: fresh, frozen, canned, as part of food and drink recipes, but also as a widely-used artificial flavoring in cosmetics or perfumes. However, due to the fact that they are sensitive to weather and thrive only under certain climate conditions, worldwide strawberry production is relatively low compared to other fruit crops, such as bananas, which are easier to maintain and produce fruit year-round. In 2014, the global strawberry production reached some 8.1 million metric tons, while the worldwide banana production exceeded 106 million metric tons.

With an annual strawberry production of 1.5 million tons of in 2015, the United States is the leader of the global strawberry market, accounting for a third of the total world’s production. Favorable climate conditions make the state of California the largest producer of strawberries in the United States. In 2015, 27.9 million hundredweight of strawberries were produced in California, considerably more than the second ranked, Florida, with 2.44 million hundredweight.
