In terms of style/grace: Calvin Coolidge’s wife has nice portrait at the Smithsonian. As does Frances Cleveland.

Martha Washington and Abigail Adams - I know are universally respected, but sometimes I come across the speeches of the more obscure presidents and find myself very impressed. So I’m sure it’s the same with First Ladies.

Ok, I had to shorten the list because some of them I didn’t experience in my lifetime. So my list looks more like this:

Melania Trump
Michelle Obama
Laura Bush
Hillary Clinton
Barbara Bush
Nancy Reagan
Rosalynn Carter
Betty Ford
Pat Nixon

So based on this list, I can honestly say I liked Laura Bush a lot. She carried herself very nicely and seemed to have little if any scandals around her. Some here might pick Nancy, but she had those horrible psychic/astrology rumors swirl around her. But by far and away...so far Melania has been astounding and nearly impeccable in the public eye. She exudes class, graciousness, and a bit of humble eliteness (which seems to come from an acknowledgement of the ‘office’.

Pat Nixon was reserved but a real pillar of strength for her husband. She took a lot of undeserved flack. Don't know if I have a "favorite" first lady but Pat Nixon is one whom I admire.
