CNN’s Jake Tapper Moves Up Town Into Plush $4 Million Suburban D.C. Mansion

Just how does a television reporter making approximately $300K a year afford a $4 million plush suburban Washington D.C. estate?

The mortgage and taxes alone come out to approximately $204,000 annually, per Zillow. That would equate to ALL of Tapper’s after-tax CNN income.

We tried to find out from Jake Tapper but he didn’t return our call. And finding Tapper’s digs was no easy feat. He pays an expensive lawyer to act as the trustee for the house so nothing is listed in public records in Tapper’s or his wife’s name. An old slick trick among aristocrats used to hide their vast assets and physical location.

Being paid under the table or via other means to report or not report “news” in particular ways. Else, he married well.

Looks like Fusion GPS may have been paying Tapped out.
Or it could be Soros.

George Soros & friends can be very generous to their sock puppets.

I would have expected Tapper to be making more than 300K per annum. I guess he’s not in Sean Hannity’s league.

He’s estimated to be worth 4 million.

I would guess that Tapper makes a great deal more than $300K now.

Telling lies is a profitable gig. Ask Me-again Kelly.

He doesn’t need Hannity’s pay to be way above $300K. There are a lot of multi-million dollar salaries in the media. I would be surprised if Tapper does not make $2 million or more, whatever one may think about him.

He is well known for dutifully reading his talking points. I’m sure he’s on the Fusion GPS payroll.

Money laundering.

Or he’s been a smart investor. Selling a previous primary residence with a big gain, some more debt, other investment returns. I don’t begrudge people who are legitimately successful.

Nice suburban house, but hardly a “mansion.” Not uncommon for such nice homes in major metro areas to be going for $2M to $5M these days.

Seems like much ado about nothing.

Good for him. It’s not like he’s bilking taxpayers or running a crooked foundation.

Jake Tapper: the perfect person to “investigate” the unexplained wealth of DC swamp creature politicians.

Very nice house, but not a $4 million home.

Maybe Jake Tapper has the same stock broker as does Hillary. Remember, Herself was able to turn $1000 into $100,000. Even Warren Buffett can’t do something like that!

I agree in general but good to question, especially has the ego-inflated we-know-better people are over-the-top irritating. Anyway, while I did not bother reading the whole article, I didn’t see any mention of his wive’s contribution or salary, inheritance, etc. Yes, much ado about nothing.

Follow his money back to the Podesta’s or the Clinton Foundation.
