The city of Minneapolis may fire its police psychology evaluator because his tests screened out too many minority candidates, despite already lowering psych evaluations far below the national standard.
The July police shooting of Justine Damond triggered the city to scrutinize its psychological standards for police, with many claiming theyd become lax. Psychiatrist Thomas Gratzer has run psych testing for the Minneapolis police for the past five years, and in that time, he has eliminated four of the five tests used to determine whether a candidate is fit to be an officer, APM reported Thursday. Now, Gratzer is facing firing not for gutting his standard, but for screening out too many minorities.
Mohamed Noor, the officer who shot Damond, is Somali and was one of 200 cops approved by Gratzers standards over the past five years, which were already far below the national standard. (RELATED: 150 Minnesota Cops Are Convicted Criminals)
Minneapolis used a more standard five-test procedure up until 2012, and according to a 2004 federal study, those tests worked. The study found that the officers flagged as concerning by the tests were three times more likely to engage in misconduct, APM reported.
Theres no way to verify whether Noor shot Damond due to mental unfitness, but many are calling for him to be charged due to the circumstances of the encounter. Noor and his partner were responding to Damonds call when she exited her home and approached the police car. Noor claims to have then heard a loud banging noise as someonepresumably Damondslapped the car.

Here in NJ even the Hispanics were too competent; Hispanic men have been removed from the “hire” list. Now the only preferred hires are blacks and women; everyone else needs military veteran statues to get hired. It seems there is no screening process anymore (beyond a criminal background check); competence is irrelevant.
Just an open effort to grow the fake minority middle class though government jobs; the reality of the private sector is too harsh (has no use for incompetent tokens).

For the second time in two years, state officials have found that the city of St. Paul has violated a law that gives veterans a leg-up in being hired for city jobs.
As a result, the city could be forced to reopen the positions under dispute and make new hires, even though it already has filled the jobs.
Critics say St. Paul may be one of the most persistent offenders in violating the states Veterans Preference Act, which awards points to veterans and disabled vets applying for city, county or state government jobs.
I know a veteran that was denied a cop job for years because of alleged psychiatric issues (and preferred minorities were hired instead), but he finally landed one. Without that veteran designation, no white guy is getting a government job here in NJ...

SHREVEPORT, La. - A former Homer Police officer has been sentenced to 10 months in prison for his role in a vehicle fraud theft and insurance scheme, according to acting U.S. Attorney Alexander C. Van Hook. Donald W. Malray, 52, of Homer, La., was sentenced by U.S. District Judge S. Maurice Hicks Jr. on one count of mail fraud conspiracy. In addition, he was sentenced to three years of supervised release, and was ordered to pay $13,610.50 restitution and a $3,500 fine."
They just want police to shoot more white people.
