Over the weekend, the New York Times offered up a new explanation for why the FBI launched its investigation into the alleged collusion between President Trump and the Russian Government.
Chalk it up to the drunken whispers of a Trump staffer.

NYT running interference for the crooks.
It had nothing to do with that phony dossier... It was Papadopoulos, that is why the investigation began... Incorrect and phony narrative, but it’s the NY Slimes... They need some sort of fallback story in an attempt to thwart the coming investigation of the dossier, it’s creators, it’s funding, etc.
If the dossier is all they had to secure wiretaps... Any convictions based on wiretapping will likely not survive appeals, etc.
Is Papadopoulous the so-called “Trump Aide” who never actually ever met or spoke with Trump?
There will be a new “thing” every week for the rest of Trump’s first term, just as there has been for the first year.

It was all about the dossier for the NYT and the rest of the media. They harped on that and Carter Page’s trip to Russia endlessly as being the LEGITIMATE basis for the investigation. One need only look at the NYT’s own reporting.
Now, in yet another case of treating us as if we are stupid, the NYT calls in their version of SERVPRO to make it like it never happened. “Dossier?!? What dossier? No, stupid Americans, we never said that and if you think we did, well, you are too stupid to think for yourselves. It is our job to tell you what to think.”
It’s Papadopolus and always has been. Of course, the NYT brings us this tripe by relying on the usual plethora of “unnamed sources” and a bevy of co-authors. Could it be that the unnamed sources are really a Deep State that is desperate to cover for its use of a bought and paid for piece of political propaganda that it knew was false?
Nah, it is into Trump Russia Collusion v50000.01. Que Adam Schiff. Que the never ending CNN groupthink panels.
Before the Papadopoulos story the Slimes claimed it was Carter Page. Remember that? That story never got traction and the dossier has become very revealing and problematic for the Deep State conspirators so they needed a new narrative to cover their tracks. Hence the latest red herring.
I think if you went and reviewed everything Papadopoulous was associated with between the summer of 2015 to now...he’s mostly an ‘empty-talker’. He claims all kinds of connections but none of them ever seem to prove much. For a while, he was with the Ben Carson campaign group. There are several Trump-folks who say that Trump has never met Papadopoulous.
The NYT’s will be eaten by the wolf they’ve been crying about.
Papadopolous was just another insignificant political groupie trying to act like he’s consequential and influential. He was neither. The political world is full of ingratiating wannabee’s like him.
