Monica Blaming Drudge Shows the Power of Shaming as a "Thought Reform" Tool

On Drudge Now: Retrospective, Remember When Monica Lewinsky Blamed Bill Clinton Instead of Matt Drudge? The Internet Does.

In Lewinsky's warped (or calculated) view of her time in the limelight, she was the world's first victim of "cyberbullying" and Drudge the first perpetrator.

Thought Reform, as the Chinese call it--I don't know what the jargon was used by brainwashing technicians in the Stalinist Show Trials--has so long pervaded public discourse, that it's as natural as breathing air. Monica's grief-resolution is typical, helpless victims can't ultimately blame the winners, The Clintons, so they blame the troublemaker who originally highlighted the putrid pustulent cesspool in the first place, Matt Drudge.

This is completely natural, expected, predictable. But to see how expertly this result was master-manipulated by the technicians of thought reform--not in Beijing or Moscow, but on Madison Avenue--consider, first, Stella Morabito Green's 10 Resources For Hack-Proofing Your Mind--but get ready for a punch to the gut as it becomes manifest, just how thoroughly billions of people are brainwashed.

Then consider the early history of Madison Avenue's "opinion formation" mastery, in the person of Freud's newphew, Edward Bernays, who…

Brought the world, the most masterful Astroturfing, phoney political movements…Virginia Slims.

Working for tobacco interests in the 1920s, when large cities had municipal level laws against women smoking…

Bernays contacted fringe elements of the otherwise upstanding Suffragette Movement, forming a phony 'Torches of Freedom' astroturf movement, staging 'spontaneous' public demonstrations of women lighting up in loud, press-attracting groups…

But Bernays' own wife died of a smoking-related illness.

How old is Lewinsky? She must be in her early 40s now and still cannot get a profession or job, a family or any kind of intelligent take of what occurred. She should look to the recently deceased Christine Keeler for what she is becoming.

This is like one of Harvey Weinstein’s victims deciding that Ronan Farrow ruined her life.

Off topic, but were women prohibited from smoking not to restrict any rights per se, but to protect her unborn and developing child in the womb?

While many do not agree with the restriction (including the Constitution), at least it may have had a rationale.

Today, of course, things are different and women have no such restrictions. Now they can freely smoke, drink, drug, pass along STDs...even brutally murder their child right in the womb with impunity!

We certainly have come a long way, baby.

She still doesn’t get it.

All the female volunteers at the time who didn’t receive consideration for the cushy paid government job were the ones bullied.

Perhaps if Monica hadn’t agreed to have an affair with a married man she might not be in this spot.

For a time, someone marketed a cigar they called a “Monicohiba.”
