When Schrodinger looks at his balance, then he knows if his Social Security check arrives...
LOL!
I wish I had a mathematical mind like that. Maybe I’d figure out what to think about this Q stuff...
Mine is direct deposited on the 3rd. At one time all Social Security checks were made out on the third.
Now they vary. I don’t know if mine is just randomly on the third or if it was approved long enough ago that it still fit that pattern.
Of course if there is a holiday on the third it is deposited early.
You are paid for the previous Month, generally by the 3rd of the next month.
(sorry if I’m being too literal. Blame it on my ADD.)
Deposit time depends on your birthday day, (or so I’ve been told). Mine also arrives the 4th Wednesday of the month.

I hate to break the news to the original poster but every quarter of a year consists of 13 weeks which when multiplied by 4 equals a full year of 52 weeks. It is for this reason, than many companies do their accounting on a 4-4-5 week quarter. Social Security payments are made on a monthly basis, not a 4 week month basis.
As to when a person receives their Social Security payments which are done by direct deposit now, it varies throughout the month in order to balance the workload of issuing the payments.
yup - 4/4/5 is answer
In other words, the cat is alive?
This is explained with scheduled payments listed at the SS web site
I get my check on the second Wednesday of the month....doesnt matter what the date is
If a person is to receive 12 payments throughout the year, and if such payments fall on the same day of the week, then the period of time between payments cannot always be the same, but the period must always be an integral number of weeks.
Since there are more than 12*4 weeks in a year, that means that some periods will be exactly four weeks and some will be exactly five weeks.
I get mine on the 14th direct deposit. Never been late. Has been early though.
It has never varied from that schedule for 8 years now.
How can it be that difficult to understand?
After my dad died (1969) we got our checks on the 3rd.
I know, ‘cuz that’s when my “step-dad” showed up to steal them.
He disappear completely when I turned 18...and the checks stopped.
I get mine on my numerical birth day each month. So the 19th of each month.
What about leap years?... : )
BTW I looked up the SSN check I should receive when I retire, which is many years away, and it shows at 66 years 8 months a bit more then $2,000/month and at 70 it would be about $2,500
I add from my savings and I should be doing ok. I will try to wait so I get that extra $500 a month.
The real scandal is that if you’re born in the second half of the month, even by one day, you wait until the last Wednesday for your check, while if you’re born in the first half of the month, even one day before the midpoint, you get your check on the second Wednesday of the month - let the guy figure out how much money Social Security screws the public out of with this sort of scam.....
I get mine on third Wednesday.
