Blog takes on Boston Newspapers
New Boston Post ^ | Feb 22, 2018 | Evan Lips

Posted on 02/24/2018 10:49:08 AM PST by edwinland

The provocative Worcester-based blog Turtleboy Sports, the first to break the story about how a Massachusetts state trooper apparently faced discipline for including incriminating details in his arrest report concerning a judge’s daughter, days ago broke a story regarding a K-9 trooper’s lurid history of drug dealing and money laundering. Both of Boston’s major newspapers — the Boston Herald and the Boston Globe — recently followed up on the Turtleboy report with stories of their own. Neither publication cited, however, Turtleboy’s original reporting, triggering a firestorm of criticism in both newspaper’s online comment sections.

This is worth reading because it shows that a hardworking citizen journalist can force important stories about government corruption into the MSM, as long as he or she doesn’t care about getting any credit.

It’s an inspiration to the rest of us to learn how to use public data sources to connect the dots and help root out corruption / nepotism / payoffs etc in State and local governments.

I have been reading the Turtleboy blog since the judge’s daughter fiasco.

The comments are very vulgar, the writing is not the best, but...the site is practicing journalism. The type that the television, newspapers and radio used to do before they got into bed with the state government.

When you have a nearly total democrat government and a nearly total democrat press, the truth about nefarious practices and events never gets to the public. So this Turtleboy site is a real burst of fresh air, and more importantly it has brought actual results.

The media is not to be trusted. It has longstanding, unhealthy relationships with too many friendly politicans and bureaucrats which compromise its credibility and veracity. They don’t want to bite the hand that feeds them or invite the displeasure of their fellow liberal travellers.

The media acts as a megaphone for the Left, pushes their agenda, and lays down smokescreens to protect them.

Thankfully, more and more Americans are seeing the media for the biased purveyors of propaganda that they are.

At least in communist countries, the media were all state employees.

In America, the state gets all the agitprop it wants for free.

In case you haven’t seen it yet, the Washington Post has unveiled a new motto: “Democracy Dies in Darkness.” What a total farse coming from one of the most politically biased papers in the country. WaPo is a mouthpiece of the Democrat Party and everyone knows it.

Yeah, its only about a year old. Coming from the compost, it is about as compelling as “work is freedom.”

WaPo is “Where the Truth Rests in Peace.”

“Democracy Dies in Darkness”

It’s rotting, festering corpse is lying on the WaPo’s editors desk.
