CNN's Tapper, Rye Mock Trump's 'I'd Run in There' and His Deferment
Black & Blonde Media ^ | 2/28/18 | Bob Parks

Tapper and his guests, Angela Rye and Bill Kristol were almost giddy in pointing out that Donald Trump had received a deferment from Vietnam, thus had no reason to question the questionable conduct of the officers on the ground.

The problem is neither Tapper or Rye have ever served in the military and while #NeverTrumper Bill Kristol was of draft age, he never served either. Angela Rye, in what was supposed to be a cute, personal soundbite dig against the president, showed her ignorant unpreparedness for a national television news segment.

Of course, she never had to explain her faux pas because apparently, no one on the panel knew about what Donald Trump did in back-in-the-day either.

Everyone wants to be a lion until it's time to do lion shit.

President Trump already is a lion and can already do lion shit.

Trump did ‘run in there’ some years ago, stopping a man who was beating another with a bat. (An assault bat - one whack per swing.)

Someone told me that Donald Trump also ran into burning buildings to get folks out. But I haven’t verified the story.

These traitorous scum are spending too much time hating Trump and trying to destroy him than to actually do any investigative journalism.

If someone wants to question Trump’s draft deferment, I won’t argue with him, but I think you also have to look at what Trump is doing now. Anyone who thinks that Trump is a coward is ignoring the fact that he currently has, statistically speaking, the most dangerous job in America (e.g. Lincoln, Garfield, McKinley, Kennedy, and a number of near-fatal attempts).

Trump stoped a mugger using a baseball bat on his victim. That was in the early 90’s.

As you say the lion test is the hurdle. Trump already passed.

Any particular reason you are both too lazy to click a button, and too hypocritical to post the article yourself if you think it should be copied over in it’s entirety?

I will. Trump was talented enough to play baseball at a professional level, yet suddenly decided to become a businessman instead. Not that long thereafter he failed his draft physical.

I am perfectly willing to argue with any idiot who wishes to insist that those two things are unrelated.

You might want to do the same.

Bottom line
Trump is NO COWARD
that’s for sure
He risked it all and took on the entire Clinton machine and Obama machine and media and republicrats
Took a thousand arrows and false charges
And won

I was skeptical of that Trump statement, and then I read that billionaire Trump actually did just that a couple decades ago. I should learn to trust the best President we’ve had since Ronald Reagan.

There is that, but if you notice the preface of Trump’s statement in which he said,

“You never know until you are tested, but I think”

and the end of it in which he said to the assembled governors,

“. . . and knowing many of you, I think many of you would too”

then Mr. Trump’s claim becomes aspirational and inspirational rather than arrogant. Skeptical Cynical journalists skipped over that part.

Surprisingly enough. </sarcasm>

Did they mock draft dodger Bill Clinton when in 2002, he said: “The Israelis know that if the Iraqi or the Iranian army came across the Jordan River, I would personally grab a rifle, get in a ditch, and fight and die.”
