So it’s no surprise that last weekend in Burlington, Vermont demolished an anti-gun talking point with laughs.

That’s how Steve Crowder got his start in political commentary. He was trying to be a comedian (and a pretty darn good one), but the entertainment industry didn’t like his lack of political correctness, and one thing led to another.

Does the guy really know what AR stands for in AR-15?
The AR in “AR-15” rifle stands for ArmaLite rifle, after the company that developed it in the 1950s. “AR” does NOT stand for “assault rifle” or “automatic rifle.” AR-15-style rifles are NOT “assault weapons” or “assault rifles.” An assault rifle is fully automatic — a machine gun.
It’s a mathematical formula, if they keep adding groups (including the celibate, asexual, etc.) they will be able to crest 10% of the public.
It’s also a hate group, the one group they do NOT permit is heterosexual (active). Why no support for this sexuality?
I think that’s his point, his audience likely assumes from media propaganda that AR=Assault Rifle and he’s trying to say “y’all need to learn what it really means”.
Want to see the Leftardniki REALLY lose what little minds they have, tell them that the “AR-24” is even TWICE as deadly and shoots uranium tipped 20mm rounds at a cyclic rate of 7000 rounds a minute... and it shoots through buildings and can take helicopters down... and it’s legal to own and carry.
And then stand back and laugh in their faces when you tell them it’s a simple 9mm handgun designed and manufactured by Armalite...
It’s like those mathematical formulas that prove 1=2 or 1=-1. Lots of complicating factors designed to obscure a critical point.

Just from a BUSINESS standpoint, why would a gun manufacturer stamp their product with an abbreviation of "Assault rifle"?
That would repel and offend 99.9% of potential responsible gun purchasers.
Hell, I could see the NRA coming out against that.
