FReepers who have seen this film please post your review here
Friends saw it and loved it.
My wife and my daughter were “extras” in the film. I can honestly say that the story behind the song I have known my entire adult life is very powerful when told like this.
My friends saw it today and said it was excellent.
I saw it today. Sold out this morning and afternoon showings. Glad I brought tissues. Dennis Quaid was outstanding as the father.
My friends wanted me to go to the movie with them but I said I couldn’t do it as my grandson was killed about 4 ears ago and this song was sung at his funeral but I am curious about it. It’s interesting about your wife and daughter. Blessings,
My eyes tear over when I hear that song.
So sorry to read about your grandson. My condolences.
This song was also sung at my aunt’s funeral. She died suddenly in her sleep at age 62. Her daughter said at the funeral that she had her mom used to say certain songs would be good songs for their funerals (they were kind of joking, half serious since they were both young), and I Can Only Imagine was their favorite.
I plan on seeing this movie.
Prayers for you.
Thank you but our family is not the first family to endure this kind of heartache. It does change a family. My SIL, (Scott’s dad) says he hates family gatherings now because he knows someone is missing and I agree with him. Now, I cope by knowing I have to get my cry over with early and then I go on. It’s been nearly four years and I still cry.
On track to have production budget covered opening weekend
$6.2M gross first day of release. $7M production budget means that Day2 gross revenue of $800k will pay for the film!
Why is this important ? Because once the bills are paid the film profits can be used for making more films like this because producers/investors is what makes it possible
Expecting great numbers for this weekend!! Also expecting Hollywood to be “surprised”
I just saw it today. Very moving film. Bring Kleenexes.
