..although the particular incident was harmful, I have seen the results of far worse. My high school principal lost an arm, and one teen from my home area took a shot through the spine and was paraplegic as a result.

But that is two incidents over a time span of about 75 years.

Deep in the mountains of Virginia, hahaha I just had to laugh at that one maybe a hundred years ago but not anymore it’s hard to get out of other people’s way in deep in the heart of the mountains of Virginia.

I will say this about hunting accidents though, when I was in high school I went to school with a guy who was hunting with his father up in Pennsylvania and they decided to take a lunch break, sat down and they were eating their sandwiches and a stray bullet from the other side of the knob arced over, came down, and hit his father in the neck killing him instantly.
