Another song from that album:

It reminds me of one of my all time favorites, haunting, mysterious and beautiful:

Oh, yes. I don't think that Bergersen has written a bad note in his life. The man is a genius.

He's a Giant also from Colin Frake on Fire Mountain

Epic and moving.

I have almost everything they’ve done. When this comes rolling out my set of Audio Research sourced and driven Magneplanar 3.7is, it’s beyond epic. Bergersen is not afraid to throw the full weight of an orchestra behind his pieces.

>Enjoy.

I certainly did, thanks for posting. Never heard anything that wasn't epic from Thomas Bergersen or Two Steps From Hell. I remember your previous post from the beginning of March with another TB/TSFM song. If you ever decide to get an Epic Music or Audiophile ping list going I would defiantly like to join.

R.E. your Magneplanars - there's just something magical about ribbons, don't you think ?

>Yeah, I know it's YouTube...

May I suggest downloading the clip at the best resolution possible, converting to .wav and up-converting to 24 bit, 192,000 khz. You can actually hear the difference on hi-end gear.

While there’s a LOT I don’t like about Youtube I have to give props to their A.I. I played your link (thanks) and this version showed up on the sidebar...

“Flight of the Silverbird” - performed live at the 2017 Mountbatten Festival of Music.

Thanks for the suggestion. It would be fun to start up an audiophile ping list.

I typically purchase a CD of whatever I’m interested in. That gets ripped to my library and then written to a blank at the highest quality possible. Those are my driving CDs. My 05 Yukon XL has a 6 CD changer, so there’s always great music on hand for those long drives.

Have to admit - I’m a long time Maggie fan. From the earliest Tympanies to my present 3.7is they’ve captivated me. Mainly for their ability to m utterly disappear and leave nothing but music in the room. That, and they allow you to hear deep into the music - every note and every texture. Pianos n sound like real pianos. Bass viola come across in all their depth and guttiness. And vocals...

Presently, they’re being driven by a well broken in ARC DSi 200 and sourced with an ARC CD5 player. Turntable rig is too m elaborate to get involved here. Vinyls a w h Ole ‘nother discussion.

Some of TSFHs work has shown up in games. You’ll find some of it in movie soundtracks and trailers. Most of it is Bergersen’s creative output. He does pretty much as he likes. And I hope he keeps on doing it.

Go to YouTube and check out Two Steps From Hell. Stunning, epic, and elegiac stuff.
