Conservatism is, in a sense, an acknowledgement of and a surrender to the truth. We conserve what works, those traditions, practices, and ideas that have long held the test of timesuch as marriage being the union of one man and one woman, the idea that if a man doesnt work, he shouldnt eat, all men are created equal, life in the womb is real and preciousbecause they are rooted in the Truth...
Because what is tried and true can sometimes be viewed as stale and boring, and because being moral is often difficult, conservatism is frequently presented with challenges that liberalism is not. Because the moral demands of liberalism are light and few, life in this world is often much easier for a liberal. This is especially true in politics. For liberalsusually, but not always, democratsgoverning becomes a matter of seeking what is popular and pleasing, not what is right...
One of the great lies of modern liberalismperhaps THE great lieis that the world owes us something, and its up to us to do whatever it takes to get it...
Because such a mindset is so familiar to them, its pretty easy to convince childrenor those who think and reason like a childthat this is how the world should be. Thus, we shouldnt be surprised that so many studentswhether elementary, middle, high school, or collegeare eager to take up liberal causes.

I prefer Roundup. :)
In another universe, Trump still sits at the head of the table in “The Apprentice” where in the second episode, he fires David Hogg for insubordination and they have to drag him out kicking and screamimg. Ever confused, the young Hogg blames society in a post-Apprentice interview on Meet The Press.
Children prefer Liberalism (modern definition) because it is familiar to them: someone else (Mommy and Daddy) takes care of them; they are fed, clothed, housed, protected and amused by someone else’s efforts.
Children up to the age of, say, eight, prefer liberalism for the reasons you cited ... but at some point after that they prefer it because their parents failed at guiding them to grow up and learn about self reliance (hence there are so many 30-somethings still living with their parents).
Exactly.
Because of the government school monopoly, they are not taught critical thinking from a biblical worldview.
Their frontal lobes are not fully formed yet.
This explains a lot of things. It means their brains make illogical conclusions. This is great if you’re a theoretical physicist. It’s why most discoveries are made by people under 35. It’s also why all the best engineers, technicians and the like are 35 and older. It requires a stable brain that can process all the inputs and come out with a logical conclusion without jumping over important steps.
For this reason, young people should not be making policy.
If they had “parents” at all. Too many have the state as their step-father.
Exactly - it’s a natural progression from dependence to independence to one who can be depended upon - today’s society never seems to move fro the dependence role....
No one should be allowed to “make policy” until they prove they can hold down a job, pay their own bills, and keep their house in order. Being able to construct an “IM” should be celebrated about as much as being able to lick a stamp.
When the lie is propagated long enough ,it becomes the truth. Wonder who said that? I hope our kids dont become little brownshirts.
Children have always loved fairy tales.
At its best, Liberalism is a fairy tale.
Ha! Interesting characterization!: http://www.trevorgrantthomas.com/2014/03/liberals-prefer-land-of-make-believe.html
