That is more or less what the eight presidents before George Washington who only served one term and 95% of a nation that can't name one. The American middle class was never meant to be more than the mule, oxen, yoke to tow the line and support the wars, corporations, poor, and big pharma. Middle class American moving either up or down - to the government food line, or the no tax, launder your money, nonprofit eilte style of living. Why pay! Make it a non-profit, or a foundation, or just put it in a bank that won't give your cash wealth secret away. Flashback 2011 and John Cornyn saying 51 percent of American households pay no income tax. July 7, 2011, floor speech, Sen. “eight presidents before George Washington”?

Of course 95% of the nation can’t name one, because they didn’t exist!

Think he’s referring to the Presidents of Congress under the Articles of Confederation.

Of course 95% of the nation can’t name one, because they didn’t exist!

If you're talking about Presidents of the United States of America, then you'd be correct as Washington was the first President of the USA.

But, if you'll recall after the war, the original 13 colonies signed Articles of Confederation and there were 10 different Presidents prior to the forming of the USA. These are usually referred to as "Presidents of the United States in Congress Assembled".

Banks get bailed out because they are essential to a modern economy. Moreover, when banks are allowed to fail, the collection rate on bad loans drops dramatically, which is a way of saying that, in addition to genuine hard cases, a lot of insiders and crooks figure out how to avoid paying their loans back.

Dollars to donuts Goldman Sachs is the “chosen” bank to launder drug money in the US.
HSBC was created for the sole purpose to launder drug money coming out of China.

Look at the housing crisis.
Bernanke threatened congress if any Wall Streeter should face criminal charges.

Who did the Feds go after in the aftermath of the housing crisis?
A single mom and pop bank that catered to the Chinese population in NYC.
Of the 3,000 housing loans they had on their books only 9 were not performing.
