A US bishop stole the show with his fiery address at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding.

The Most Reverend Michael Curry has been praised for his passionate speech which touched upon slavery, the Old Testament and even quoted Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Many of social media were delighted to see the American reverend 'shake up' the traditional royal proceedings.

The preacher also provoked a few chuckles in the chapel - and even Harry and Meghan couldn't help but giggle at one point.

Not going to click on the link. Just tell me whether or not the slavery of which he spoke was about the slavery of America that was abolished 150 years ago or the slavery which continues to this day in the homelands of Londonistan’s mayor?

I didn’t care for it. It’s like he didn’t know where he was and it went on far too long.

It’s never good when the priest steals the show at a wedding.

Curry is the Presiding Bishop of The Episcopal Church, and thereby is a poster-child for PC Progressivism & pro-LGBTetc. revisionism/confusion.

The fact that they chose him over the many more able English Anglican clergy, does not bode well for their judgement.

Exactly. He started off with a good message about love, but rambled on and on and on. Pretty selfish, if you ask me. Today wasn't supposed to be all about him.

And - oh yeah - he just HAD to bring up American slavery. :-(

Wow. He's the leader of the entire American Episcopal Church?

Did he mention his boyfriend. The Episcopal “church” allows sodomite pastors and “blesses’ their “marriages’ to other queers.

Exactly. Way too animated, too "look at me".

Save it for your revival meetings, dude.

Yes he did mention Jesus.

But it was more like watching a stupid made for tv romantic comedy. It was weird and uncomfortable to watch and listen to. The end sounded more like he was reading the lyrics to the song The Power of Love by Huie Louis and when he was talking about early man harnessing the power of fire and how we needed to learn how to harness the power of love ... just the power of love. Then the black choir started singing Stand By Me.

Seriously strange

He mentioned Jesus, but only in the sense that Jesus affirmed love. And his sermon was entirely about “love” - how “love” conquers all!

But while “God is love” is scripture, “love is God” is a demon’s lie. Seek God and find both God and love. Seek love as supreme, and in the end, you’ll find neither.

Yes. Equivalent to an Arch-Bishop. His predecessor was an evil woman named Katherine Schori--under who's leadership 5 dioceses left, many hundreds of clery left, and many dozens of churches have left, and TEC membership generally has declined severely. Curry is just as left/progressive--and APOSTATE--as Schori, he's just nicer about it...

Jesus of Nazareth taught us that the way of love is the way to a real relationship with the God who created all of us, and the way to true relationship with each other as children of that one God, as brothers and sisters in God’s human family.

one of many times, it was on the power of love and the power of Gods love, it was very nice and well done.
