Are Today’s School Shooters Yesterday’s Medicated Video Game Addicts?
Canada Free Press ^ | 05/22/18 | Katy Grimes

Today's political correctness is on steroids thanks to the left and Democrats who politicize everything

Since the 1999 school shooting in Columbine, CO, it appears that a typecast of the shooters has emerged: teen boys who are depressed, isolated, medicated, jilted, have absentee or divorced parents, and play violent video games.

he latest school shooter opened fire at Santa Fe High School in Texas on last Friday, killing 10 and wounding 13. Police arrived on scene and engaged in a 30-minute shootout. The shooter targeted and murdered a teen girl who rebuffed his advances.

The war on families brought about by the failed “Great Society” and specifically the disdain for fathers has brought this on.

Remember Columbine’s asshats [refuse to use their names] were discussing ‘Pulp Fiction’ and who would play them in the movie that would surely [in their minds at least] be made about their horrendous crimes.

This is all about fame/infamy and how to get attention.

A child will act out just to get attention, good or bad, it makes no difference to them, as long as they get the attention they crave...................

Harden every school in America starting with high schools. Ban Ritalin for young boys. Ban guns in movies, TV shows and video games. Then see how that works.

All the shooters have been male, and they may have all been socially isolated and depressed, but we know that they have all been medicated or play violent video games at a higher rate than their gender age groups?

Where is the evidence?

Has anyone gone Postal at a postal facility, since Gun Free Zones were introduced in 1990 by Joe Biden?

Nothing wrong with video games; in moderation.

Nothing wrong with medication; IF appropriate.

What IS wrong is that modern society believes in “everything’s OK” and that little boys need to be drugged into behaving like little girls.

Banning the portrayal of guns in popular media is no different than attempting prohibition on alcohol or tobacco. People who want it will find a way to have it. People who are otherwise responsible with consumption are the only people who suffer under those rules.

I do agree, however, that we are way too quick to hand over a pill to control someone’s mood. Plus we’ve taken away the ability for kids to go outside, get scraped up, ride bikes, climb trees, burn off all that extra energy in lieu of digital nannies that require little more than moving one’s hands.

The film was made. It was called ELEPHANT.

No ... they are kids hell bent on revenge and that haven’t properly been taught to know the difference between good and evil.

Which is why the media is complicit, causing more violence. They should say when a school shooting occurs, that they won't say the name or a photo on air, simple really. These sick kids know they will get press, if they know they won't it will change or minimize this. Then add an armed resource officer and metal detectors and it will just about end.

No. They’re not.

Both my sons grew up playing those games, as well as going to the range with me, hunting, and playing paintball.

They managed to get through high school and now college without shooting up their classrooms.

Too much social media

Teen boy has 35 facebook friends and sees a classmate with 5000, that would make you feel like a loser

Plus the media turns these nuts into instant celebrities when they do this, their names, pictures are plastered everyone and anywhere, talking heads, replays of their deeds are played for days on 24/7 news outlets.

That is why I believe we see more of this

Plus others have said, let boys be boys, not drugged up girls.

Back in the day, disputes were settled on the playground, fights would break out and school teachers/admins would break them up and give them detention or suspensions. Now days, police are called, and not just for fights, chewing a pop tart into a gun, stupid stuff as well. Boys can’t act out any way without becoming criminals. So it all gets bottled up, plus the bullying and the social media, and snap

Just my opnion

Glorification of the nutbags that perpetrate these crimes only leads to more incidents and more deaths.

This last asshole used a sawed-off shotgun and a pistol, both of which were illegally possessed, so the MS can’t demonize any AR- or AK- ANYTHING..............

Good question “Where is the evidence?”

The last couple of shootings I did not read anything about the medication until after the press got done with their anti-gun rant.

We need documented research into this. This is a mental heath issue, maybe the CDC or someone needs to start a research project. Guns have always been around, this issue is new just in the last 15 years.

I suspect most of the shooters where medicated for a long period of time. After a period of the time the meds don’t have the same effect, the child never learn to cope with their so call disability, so they start killing class mates.

More Research!!!!!!!
