The Russia investigation was opened on a lie. It is all a lie.

That Russia investigation. First they told us it began with a FISA warrant on Carter Page, who appeared in a Michael Isikoff story in September 2016  and his life has been upended ever since.

As that fell apart, they said no, it wasn't Carter Page. It was George Papadopoulos.  Pay close attention to what is said about him.

NY Times

WASHINGTON — During a night of heavy drinking at an upscale London bar in May 2016, George Papadopoulos, a young foreign policy adviser to the Trump campaign, made a startling revelation to Australia’s top diplomat in Britain: Russia had political dirt on Hillary Clinton.

About three weeks earlier, Mr. Papadopoulos had been told that Moscow had thousands of emails that would embarrass Mrs. Clinton, apparently stolen in an effort to try to damage her campaign.

Exactly how much Mr. Papadopoulos said that night at the Kensington Wine Rooms with the Australian, Alexander Downer, is unclear. But two months later, when leaked Democratic emails began appearing online, Australian officials passed the information about Mr. Papadopoulos to their American counterparts, according to four current and former American and foreign officials with direct knowledge of the Australians’ role.

Now let's look at how a number of liberal outlets reported it. The Telegraph:
The investigation into possible collusion between Donald Trump's presidential campaign and Russia was reportedly sparked by a conversation that took place over a drink in a London bar.

George Papadopoulos, who was a foreign policy adviser to the Trump campaign, was said to have disclosed to a senior Australian diplomat in the bar that Russia had "dirt" on Hillary Clinton.

...

Mr Papadopoulos was said to have been given the information about the emails by a friend with Russian contacts.

He was told there were "thousands of emails" that may embarrass Mrs Clinton and her campaign.

CNN:
George Papadopoulos told an Australian diplomat that Russia had "political dirt" on Hillary Clinton in May of last year, a conversation that might have played a role in the FBI's decision to open an investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 election, according to a report published Saturday.

The New York Times reported that Papadopoulos, then a foreign policy adviser to Donald Trump's campaign, was drinking at an upscale London bar when he told Australia's top diplomat in Britain, Alexander Downer, that Russia had political information on Clinton.

A few weeks before their meeting, Papadopoulos was told Moscow had thousands of emails relating to Clinton, CNN has reported.

NBC:
WASHINGTON — An Australian diplomat's tip appears to have helped persuade the FBI to investigate Russian meddling in the U.S. election and possible coordination with the Trump campaign, The New York Times reported Saturday.

Trump campaign adviser George Papadopoulos told the diplomat, Alexander Downer, during a meeting in London in May 2016 that Russia had thousands of emails that would embarrass Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton, the report said. Downer, a former foreign minister, is Australia's top diplomat in Britain.

(emphases mine)

Notice how the stories either claim outright that Papadopoulos told Downer that Russia had the emails or they try to convince you it did. They all indicate that Papadopoulos told Downer that Russia had "dirt" on Clinton.

OK, now let's see what Downer actually said. Chuck Ross:

A few questions for Special Counsel Mueller.

S/C Investigations normally pursue a crime.

<><> What crime are you investigating?

<><> Your job description centered on Russian collusion, what statute in the US code would you use to prosecute collusion?

<><> Your investigative team is composed of highly partisan supporters of Hillary Clinton? Did you seek out independent, non-partisan lawyers?

<><> Russia expert, Fanny Ohr, wife of demoted DOJ official Bruce Ohr, who worked for Fusion GPS on the Steele dossier acquired a short-wave radio license about that time? Did the FBI monitor any of Ohr’s electronic communications?

<><> 2016 candidate Hillary Clinton as Secy of State, removed boxes of official documents and destroyed more than 30,000 official emails. Did you know about this?

<><> What was the Loretta Lynch and Bill Clinton meeting about, aside from the usual pleasantries?

<><> The FBI sought to identify and discipline the agent who made the Lynch-Clinton meeting public. Is that offiial FBI policy.

<><> Former CIA boss John Brennan is making angry statements about Pres Donald Trump. Would you have hired him at the FBI? If so, in what capacity?

<><> When reporters asked you if the FBI had dropped the ball by failing to act, you said, “No. I think, given the context of the discussions and the situation that the agents and the analysts were looking at, they took appropriate steps.”

<><> Any second thoughts on that?

<><> Given the time and money you have put in, does the the absence of any crime or collusion trouble you?

<><> Are Democrats disappointed in you?

<><> If so, how have they acted against you?

<><> Did you resent it when Cong Schiff who based has his political career on your finding Russian collision called yu a little ****?

James Comey Signed FISA Applications Utilizing
Same Dossier He Publically Called ‘Salacious…

Breitbart | Feb 2, 2018 | by AARON KLEIN / FR Posted by Jim Robinson

A four-page House Intelligence Committee memo alleging abuse of surveillance authority raises immediate questions about former FBI Director James Comey’s role in utilizing the infamous, largely discredited 35-page anti-Trump dossier to obtain a FISA court warrant to monitor an individual associated with Donald Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign.

One glaring possible inconsistency centers on Comey’s June 8, 2017 prepared remarks for the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, where he referred to the anti-Trump dossier as containing “salacious and unverified” material. Yet, according to the memo crafted by House Republicans, Comey personally signed three FISA court applications utilizing that same dossier that he labeled “salacious and unverified” eight months later to obtain FISA court warrants to conduct surveillance on Carter Page, who briefly served as a volunteer foreign policy adviser to Trump’s 2016 campaign.

The memo documents that on October 21, 2016, the FBI and Justice Department sought and received the FISA order against Page, and that the agencies sought the renewal of the order every 90 days in accordance with court requirements. Renewals require separate finding of probable cause each time, the memo relates.

According to the memo, Comey “signed three FISA applications in question on behalf of the FBI, and Deputy Director Andrew McCabe signed one.” Sally Yates, then-Acting Deputy Attorney General Dana Boente, and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein signed one or more of the applications on behalf of the Justice Department.(Excerpt) Read more at breitbart.com ...

=================================

Comey CLEARLY knew about Obama's wiretaps....and told Trump.
Trump was angry about it; he was endlessly ridiculed,
and was even expected to "apologize" to Obama for such a "fanciful tale."

About three weeks earlier, Mr. Papadopoulos had been told that Moscow had thousands of emails that would embarrass Mrs. Clinton, apparently stolen in an effort to try to damage her campaign.

I have no doubt that the Russians had total access to Hillary Clinton's server as did North Korea, Iran, The UK, and probably Israel and others. False information from Russia via Steele was information that was against Trump and not for Trump. The life span of a Russian helping Donald Trump would be brief.

The Russians wanted Hillary to win because they had all the information needed to make her Putin's bitch.

It is really that simple.

What one thing did Russia do to help Trump? Russia aided Hillary vastly with the false dossier via Steele. Trump did not benefit by this dossier. Hillary benefited. Follow the money (145 million from Russian Oligarchs under the control of Putin to the Clinton Foundation) and all is clear. Putin did much to help Clinton. He did nothing for Trump.

Interesting commentary on Downer’s likely pro Hillary bias and links to the Clintons.

Commies like the Treason Twins (hillary and obama) dont believe in fairness or justice or Truth — just their own power.

America needs to rid itself of their type of poison.

So we are to believe that a 24 year old campaign worker just happened to walk into a bar and meet the Australian ambassador to London? Nothing like that as accidental unless it happens on the tarmac in Phoenix AZ.

Not up to me what people believe or why.
My point is that this pimp pretends to know but requires hits to his blog to find out his brilliant opinion.

Personally I’d kick him square in the nads for being such a clickbait jagoff.

The entire thing is a fabrication cooked up to try to entrap the candidate.

Failing that they wanted to go after his Presidency.

He should NEVER cooperate with a fictitious charge, especially when it is CLEAR that the people “investigating” it were part of the original fabricators.

No need to legitimize a fraud.
