The articles i've read on the subject say she was fired by Channing Dungey, personal friend of Valerie Jarrett and Michele Obama, and President of ABC.

I think this is wrong. As far as I can tell he does not work for ABC any more. He certainly does not produce Roseanne. I think he has worked at ABC as long as his wife was in office. And he quick when she did. It was just to make sure This Week always gave good press to Obama.
