Horowitz Report Drops Today – Teen Drama Queens Prepping Their Defense

Today’s Campaign Update (Because The Campaign Never Ends)

[Note: The wonderful photoshop that accompanies this piece was constructed by a loyal Campaign Update reader who asked to be credited only as dagalas.]

Hey, y’all, so far this week, President Donald Trump has gotten the Democrats and the fake news media to endorse:

– War games – Nuclear weapons – Refusing to negotiate with despots (where were they when Obama did that Iran deal?) – Neverending war on the Korean peninsula

And it’s only Thursday morning!

PSA: Those loud noises you are hearing right now are just the sounds of liberal heads exploding…. – Two Norwegian lawmakers formally nominated President Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize on Wednesday. The two are of course described as “right-leaning” members of Norway’s “Progress Party, which advocates for limited immigration and shrinking the size of government.” Gosh, such radical ideas, wanting to preserve your country’s native culture and holding down the size of government. If we didn’t have biased, stupid media, we would have no media at all in America.

And speaking of biased, stupid, fake news media…

“Ok, the President had a really great summit in Singapore, sadly. So, here’s what we do: ABC, you go with the fake report about Michael Cohen turning on Trump. CBS, you toss out the false report about Sarah Sanders resigning. CNN, well, you have the porn star franchise, so get on it!” – Seriously, it’s like clockwork: Any time President Donald Trump (I still never tire of typing those three words) has a domestic or international triumph, all the fake news media outlets start pumping out fake news stories designed to attract attention.

If that seems like a coordinated plan to you, that’s because it is a coordinated plan. This is what your fake news media is in today’s world: They aren’t “news” organizations, they are propaganda arms of the Democrat Party. It’s been this way for quite some time now – at least since 1992, but really since shortly following World War II.

It’s become more amplified since November 2016 because the people at the top of these organizations are increasingly desperate. With every successive act of #Winning, President Trump reveals the DC “Establishment” – mainly Democrats but also a raft of disloyal Republicans – to be a decades-long utter fraud perpetrated on the American people. Tuesday’s election results, in which a challenger loyal to the President – Katie Arrington – knocked off longtime DC swamp creature Mark Sanford in South Carolina in a very surprising upset, only served to heighten the fake media’s panic.

And guess what? Today is the day the next report from DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz drops. Just imagine the frenzied flood of freakin’ news-fakery we are about to be treated to in the wake of that document going public at 3:00 ET this afternoon. It will be glorious.

Several readers have asked this week what we should expect from this next Horowitz report. My only honest answer is, hell if I know. There are reasons to be concerned about what it might – or more likely, might not – contain, and reasons to be optimistic about it.

First, it is key to remember that the scope of this report is limited: It only covers the DOJ/FBI conduct of its blatantly fake investigation into the Clinton email scandal, an investigation that we already know was little more than a desperate coverup designed to keep Barack Obama’s favored candidate from going to federal prison. Horowitz is still working on a more comprehensive, subsequent report whose scope is far broader and will cover all of the DOJ/FBI efforts to fix the 2016 election and spy on the Trump Campaign, transition team and administration.

The main reason to be concerned about today’s report is that Horowitz has no doubt been placed under massive pressure internally at DOJ to mealy-mouth his findings. We’ve already seen one report that the report will find ex-FBI Director and current teenage drama queen James Comey to have been “insubordinate”, but probably will not find him to have committed any crimes. If that account – based of course on anonymous sources only – is accurate, then this report is a major fraud given that we already know beyond any shadow of a doubt that Comey has committed multiple perjuries before congressional committees and illegally leaked classified information to the New York Times.

So, right off the bat, we will have that barometer to inform us conclusively on the relative usefulness of this report.

The next big concern is how much of the report will be redacted. We must remember that bad actors like Rod Rosenstein have had their greasy fingers all over this report for the past three weeks as it has gone through its review process. Under Rosenstein’s incredibly corrupt leadership, DOJ has become notorious for redacting vast passages of documents under claims to be protecting national security, only to have it revealed later that the redacted information was merely embarrassing to the Department. If Rosenstein has had his way with this report, we can expect that less than half of it will actually be open for public review.

But there are also reasons for optimism that this report will at least move the ball forward towards cleaning up some of the DOJ corruption and getting the process of perp-walking and prosecuting the key bad actors underway:

- Horowitz himself has already agreed to testify before the House Oversight Committee next Monday, and that testimony will be offered under oath and threat of prosecution for perjury. If he has been forced to make inaccurate changes to his report and the Republican members of that committee have the presence of mind to ask the right questions (we know the Democrats will only try to cover things up) then we can expect Horowitz to offer honest answers. Or we can hope he will, anyway.

- Horowitz is considered by most everyone to be one of the good guys, for good reason. Yes, he served during the Obama Administration, but he was constantly engaged in fights with Obama’s corrupt attorneys general, who did everything they could to deny him the right to conduct his oversight responsibilities.

- Then there’s the fact that, as noted above, this report has been circulating within DOJ for three weeks and also reportedly shared with the congressional “Gang of 8” – which includes notorious hacks like Dianne Feinstein and Adam Schiff – and none of it has been leaked to the press. You can be damn sure if the original text of this report exonerated James Comey or Andrew McCabe or Peter Strzok or Lisa Page or any of the other bad actors within the FBI and DOJ, that news would have long ago appeared in the New York Times or Washington Post. The fact that that has not happened gives us cause to hope that Horowitz has done his job.

A word of caution: Reports like this are never fully satisfying to anyone. Regardless of how hard Horowitz might have tried, it is literally impossible to fully keep political motivations out of any 500 page report produced in Washington, DC.

It is also very likely that those of us hoping for full justice will be initially mislead by what might seem to be inconclusive findings or mealy-mouthed language in the report, only to find out later that it is in fact extremely damaging to the subject. It’s key to remember that Horowitz himself is not the prosecutor here: His job is to simply lay out the facts, though he does have the power to make criminal referrals if he so chooses.

Once the report is out, the job of prosecuting the bad actors falls to the relevant U.S. attorney. So, while you might initially be disappointed by language that, say, finds “insubordination” or “ignoring of departmental rules” by a James Comey or Andrew McCabe, we may discover later on that a prosecuting attorney finds that to be evidence of criminal conduct.

Bottom line: I don’t know what’s in this report yet, but we’ll all have a pretty good idea by about 5:00 this afternoon. Stay tuned.

Just another day on the poop is about to hit the fan America.

That is all.

Yes he has. Because as soon as his lawyers found out what is in this report, they instructed him to shut the F up.

I'm not holding my breath. I have no faith in their justice system to do the right thing.

I say 'their' justice system because We the People no longer have one to call our own.

Were President Trump given the Nobel I suspect he would not accept it and demand that it be given to Kim.

Spoiler alert: President Trump's cronies have already readied their talking points to exaggerate&distort the facts of tomorrow's DOJ IG report and spin them into a false narrative about the Special Counsel investigation.
I'm calling it now: no matter what the DOJ IG report actually says, President Trump's sycophantic supporters will try to claim that somehow he is the victim of FBI wrongdoing&bias. Talk about fake news.
President Trump's allies will try to convince the American public somehow that the FBI's decision to release information about the investigation into Hillary Clinton's email server but hide what they knew about his ties to Russia...somehow makes him the victim? What?!
The more President Trump tries to use tomorrow's report to claim FBI bias, the more ridiculous his supposed justification for firing FBI Director Jim Comey looks. (As if it ever passed the laugh test to begin with.) He said it himself: it was "this Russia thing."
Don't be defrauded or fooled tomorrow when the DOJ IG report comes out. Look at the facts. @SenBlumenthal [Richard Blumenthal] 12:18 PM - 13 Jun 2018

The Horowitz report is worth less than nothing if Trump agrees to amnesty his presidency away.

And they’ll likely try to ram it through while Trump’s base is distracted by it.

Look for these as the main themes from the IG report.

1. Shortcomings in following investigative procedures
2. Internal reviews are ongoing to improve the system going forward.
3. FBI leadership is keenly aware of the need for some improvements.
4. A “blue ribbon panel” will be formed within the next year to consider and develop ideas for process improvement.
5. The FBI considers public confidence to be a primary concern.

Blah-effing-blah-effing-blah.... it’ll be nothing by standard-variety government-speak.

Nothing will be said about any criminal referrals or corrupted processes, personal responsibility on the part of Comey.

CBS This Morning buried this major news. About 10 minutes in they spent 5 seconds on it, disgraceful liberal media bias.

Will be a big nothing-burger, as are most of these highly anticipated bureaucratic reports from the swamp.

There will be no criminal referrals of anyone significant. Clintons, Comey, Obama, Lync, etc, will suffer no consequences.
