I have fished since I was a little kid, learned to hunt from my first husband (RIP, Baby!) and got my first doe under his instruction when I was 22.
I cannot tell you the number of deer I’ve butchered through the years - we’d play, ‘Deer CSI’ with the boys so they’d have a better understanding of deer anatomy and where to take the best shot for, ‘one shot, one kill.’
My boys never did get into hunting as much as I did, but the man I’m engaged to now is an AVID hunter and VERY accomplished. I’ve helped him butcher hogs, steer, deer, and bear.
Nothing better than Kill It and Grill It. People just don’t know what they’re missing out on! :)
