Tales of Liberal Woe Can be so Enlightening

Today’s Campaign Update (Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Is there nothing the all-powerful, all-evil Trump cannot do? – Writing in the UK Guardian, some fake journalist named Brigid Delaney just published what is quite possibly the single dumbest anti-Trump screed ever written. Yes, yes, I know it’s an extremely crowded field with tons front runners with recognizable names – are you listening, George Will, Bill Kristol, Max Boot? – and that we are still early in the race, given that President Trump very likely still has more than six years to serve in the office.

But the nondescript Ms. Delaney may have just overtaken the lead heading around the the first turn with this little ditty, during the course of reading of which you are practically guaranteed to drop at least 10 points from your IQ. Not even Max Boot can compete with that.

In order to keep your IQ intact, all you really have to do is read the headline to know the entire essence of Ms. Delany’s personal tale of Trump-induced woe: “I Stopped Going to the Gym Because of Trump. Now I can’t Open Jars.” That’s really the essence of the piece – no, really, it is – and since I’ve made the personal sacrifice of reading it for you, you should keep your own IQ intact and pursue a more interesting and intellectually rewarding enterprise, like boiling eggs or cleaning your toilets.

Gosh, for a minute there I thought Canada must have elected Joe Biden. – 18 years after he apparently got a little “forward” with a female reporter, Canadian Boy Wonder Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is having his own #MeToo moment up there in the Great White North.

The reporter, a woman named Rose Knight, isn’t actually pursuing any grievance against the Boy Wonder, but came forward on Saturday after Canada’s own fake news media had dredged up the old allegation, which was reported at the time but quickly forgotten. The Boy Wonder himself is having a fairly hard time figuring out how to square his current denials of any impropriety with his statements from back in the day.

When the story came up in 2000, Trudeau was quoted as saying that, had he known Ms. Knight was a reporter, “I would never have been so forward.” As the then-28 year-old son of a former Prime Minister who was not then involved in politics, the Boy Wonder could get away with that pretty frank admission.

But in today’s #MeToo brave new world, now serving unspectacularly as the Prime Minister his own self, Trudeau is forced to change his story, which is now the tortured statement consisting of “I do not feel that I acted inappropriately in any way, but I respect the fact that someone else might have experienced that differently,” followed by the even worse “Often a man experiences an interaction as being benign or not inappropriate and a woman, particularly in a professional context, can experience it differently. We have to respect that.” To which any thinking person can only say, Yikes, Justin, get better talking points writers.

But don’t fret overly much for the Boy Wonder’s future: As the bumbling leftist hand-picked by Canada’s globalist king pins to to steer his nation into certain economic disaster, he’s doing a great job, and there’s no way they’re going to let him be taken down by some no-account reporter. He’s Canada’s Barack Obama, after all, so he’s immune to stuff like this. Still, it is kind of fun to watch him twist in the wind a little bit over something that supposedly took place decades ago.

Jim Jordan says “Welcome to the party, pal.”

Speaking of liberals having their eye-opening moments, Harvard Law Professor Alan Dershowitz, who has been conspicuously outspoken regarding the illegitimacy and brutishness of Special Counsel Robert Mueller and his gang of thugs, is suddenly finding himself a social outcast in his hometown of Martha’s Vineyard. It seems the elitist snobs who populate the wealthiest island in America don’t cotton to one of their own defending the Constitution, even when that one of their own happens to be one of the country’s foremost experts on constitutional law.

Dershowitz details his experiences of being shunned by his own kind in a very revealing interview with New York Times reporter Jeremy Peters. It’s well worth reading in full, but if you want to see the essence of it, that is captured in the first question and answer:

Q: You’re no stranger to defending people who are unpopular. Is this actually worse than when you defended O.J. Simpson?

A: Of course. Or Claus von Bulow or Leona Helmsley or Michael Milken or Mike Tyson. This is much worse than all that, because in those cases people were critical of me, but they were prepared to discuss it. They were prepared to have a dialogue. Here, the people that I’m objecting to want to stop the dialogue. They don’t want to have the conversation. It will upset people at the dinner party or on the porch. This is like safe spaces in colleges.

Exactly. There are no longer any adults populating the American political left. In Donald Trump’s America, they’ve all become nothing but a collection of spoiled, entitled children, clamoring to go back into the safe spaces they all occupied while Barack Obama was in charge.

Those days are gone now, the real world has returned, and like the 8 year-old boy who takes his ball and goes home, they won’t countenance anyone who refuses to play by their rules.

Dershowitz should be looking for new friends, because these people never were that to him.

Just another day in liberals getting their wake-up calls America.

That is all.

Isn’t it amazing that these people scream about seperation of children from criminal parents and then turn around to support infanticide through abortion.

They don't see it as infanticide. They see the fetus as a collection of cells, and abortion as their right to commit the act without having to accept responsibility for the consequences.

Rose wants her 15 minutes of fame.

Or perhaps she is tired of seeing her attacker acting all pious so he can attack Trump.

During periods of stress ( real or imagined), the true nature of people becomes evident. The Left is demonstrating to be hysterical, vapid, and dangerous to the American nation.

The whole #Metoo movement was designed to trap and humiliate their opposition and ended up ensnaring many leftest darlings.

Is it wrong to feel just a little happy when a liberal is caught up in their little trap?

What's with all of these women coming out about unwanted sexual advances years and even decades later?

It immediately makes their claims suspect and even unwarranted.

If they didn't report the "improper" actions back when they happened, why do they think anyone will believe them 20 years later?

These women have agendas or are fronting for someone who has an agenda against the "perpetrator".

There is no other reasonable explanation for going public about a real or alleged sexual mishap when so much time has passed. Most of them can't prove anything ever happened.

Most of the men can't defend themselves against allegations that are 20 years old or never happened at all without looking guilty, whether they are or not. He's already guilty in the eyes of the media and, by extension, the public.

It's the old, "How many times a week do you beat your wife?" trick.

I say enough of this #MeToo movement. It's gone too far in many cases.

How about a new movement?

Just the title of Brigid Delaney's article in The Guardian already cut my IQ five points.

“”their right to commit the act without having to accept responsibility for the consequences.””

It starts when they don’t consider the consequences of their actions which result in pregnancy. I don’t think they have that figured out yet. When shame was taken out of our vocabulary, everything else went out the window. The first step down the slippery slope. How much further down can we go?

“Often a man experiences an interaction as being benign or not inappropriate and a woman, particularly in a professional context, can experience it differently. We have to respect that.”

I actually don't see anything wrong with that statement. He's just acknowledging that making a pass at a woman doesn't seem to men like a terrible thing to do. As for the woman, if it's a man she likes, it is NOT a terrible thing. If it's a man she doesn't, it can get pretty uncomfortable.

Of course, any man who has been pursued -- especially at work -- by a woman he has no interest in can relate.

ONE FOR THE BOOKS--JUSTIN TRUDEAU ON GROPING: “Often a man experiences an interaction (like groping)
as being benign or not inappropriate, and a woman, particularly in a professional context, can experience it differently.”

Gimme that again? You say you "often have inappropriate desires" to "grope" women but that women should just shrug it off.

So if some Canadian manhandled your wife, you'd just shrug it off?
