Beto ORourke is running to replace Ted Cruz. Literally. Sweat pours off his lean, 6 4-frame as the El Paso Democrat jogs along the southern bank of the Trinity River surrounded by 300-odd supporters and curious voters jogging along with him. Incredibly, they have shown up at 8 a.m. on a Sunday to join him for a double shot of politics and cardio. In between panting breaths, ORourke explains to me the origins of this novel campaign event, which has him running several miles under the Texas sun, stopping in the middle to take questions and lingering at the end to pose for selfies. Some sadistic member of our team, he recalls, was like, So were doing like six town halls a day in six different counties. Were driving hundreds of miles every day, were visiting all 254 counties. What more could we do? Ah, get up earlier and have running town halls.

No one likes Lyn’ Ted, polls put him in trouble. Sad he wouldn’t step aside and let a Trump Republican run for that seat. I’ve said before, I doubt Lyn’ Ted could get elected dog catcher at this point. He should plan his move back to Canada (or Cuba). Good riddance. Just hope we don’t lose too many other Republican-held seats because of bad candidates, like Heller here in Nevada.
Robert Francis thinks he can fool hispanics into thinking he’s one of them.
What a pant-load. Beto’s going to get curb-stomped.
so you welcome our socialist overlords then?
Cruz better hold onto that seat. The Senate is razor thin with control by the GOP.
Texans who support President Trump need to give Cruz their vote and each take 10 other voters with them to the polls.
They said the same thing about Abortion Barbie.
Funny. They call his 300 supporters “odd.” When the shoe fits!
(yes, I know what it means. I’m making funny... or trying at least.)
You psychotic zealots are just beyond tedious, deluded, and counter-productive. You're no different a brain-dead Liberal.
Oh, yeah. He is in real trouble. Putz.
This pap aside, is Cruz seriously in trouble?
We went to a Farmer’s Appreciation Day parade in one of our local Cow Towns, yesterday.
There was a rather large (about 20 people) group marching FOR Tammy Baldwin (D, CongressLesbian, WI) but no Tammy, of course.
However, only ONE of the Republican Candidates of five that are running to unseat Tammy was there - Leah Vukmir(R,WI).
She already had my vote, but now she REALLY has it.
This time around, it just might be about candidates actually shaking hands and kissing babies. Refreshing, after so many years of both them and, ‘We The People’ just phoning it in!
Unpaid Political Shilling:
Best. Election. Ever. EVER! President Trump has galvanized and motivated SO many people to MAGA! :)
Oh, can it with the “lyin’ Ted” cr@p. The campaign is over and that was just rhetoric. There is not a stronger conservative in the Senate than Cruz. If “no one” likes him, you must live in Commmie-land.
Is Texas lost?
No, Ted isn’t in trouble. Just more fake news.
He was up like 9 points in the last poll I read.
Cruz would be in a lot less difficulty if he had applied that constitutional fidelity to himself and not flouted the plain meaning of the NBC clause.
I’m a huge fan of what Trump is doing, but I always thought it was ironic for Trump to label anyone else a “liar”.
I really like Trump, but I’ve learned to ignore what he says, and focus on what he does, which is what should be done with all politicians.
I don’t see Ted as a “liar” when I compare him to any other politician. It was a cool label, though.
No. Double digit win for Cruz in Nov. Guaranteed.
So, is he running the length of the Trinity? Which fork?
My backwards deplorable county probably won’t even notice him.
