The View is known for its heated discussions, but they’re usually between the liberal Joy Behar and conservative Meghan McCain.
On Friday, McCain argued with conservative commentator Tara Setmayer, who said some Trump supporters are in a “cult” because they believe his every word. McCain quickly interjected, “Please stop saying that, please stop saying that.”
Setmayer replied with “I stand by it. … There’s a large group of people who blindly follow what this man says. … That is a cult!”

McCain noted that Setmayer previously made a similar “cult” quip about the GOP. Only two weeks ago on The View, she said, “My party, Republicans, have really just rolled over and decided that they’d rather just be cult-like sycophants.”
McCain argued that pro-Trumpers can’t be in a cult since an overwhelming majority — 89 percent, she says — of the Republican party supports him. Setmayer parried by saying that a “large group” of conservatives “have completely sold their principles down the river.”(continued)

The 2008 presidential campaign of Barack Obama was easily the most cult-like thing I’ve ever seen in American politics.

I agree completely. That was the most cult-like thing in American politics that I have ever seen.
Can anyone follow the logic and meaning of what these people are arguing about? Both sound mindlessly inarticulate. I don’t watch this show so don’t know who is who except that Megan is John McCain’s daughter?
Most of the media left are still to this day in the same ignorant cocoon they were in before the election and that fateful night. They are incapable of considering someone with an agenda other than their own and a majority of thinking Americans who see beyond any personality quirks to Trump’s amazing accomplishments.
If Obama achieved this many of his campaign objectives by two and a half years, he’d have won 6 more Nobel prizes. Instead, he just got one for Presidentin’ while half African.

I actually like Meghan on the View clips I watch on youtube. She is a lot more boldly conservative than I thought - but sometimes she gets too defensive and it makes me nervous. She can chill just a bit and own her views more without fear.

I don't know this person, but I'm betting this "conservative commentator" voted for Hillary and Obama and Kerry and Gore.
Obama supporters were a snake cult. I hate snake cults.
I contradicted myself. I meant that she is more to the right than I thought but could afford to be more bold and less fearful.
The cult of Hillary runs a close second. There is no logical reason to vote for her, yet millions of people did. Some I know would do it again.

I’m not in a Trump cult. I very much trust him and his judgement and agree with him on just about everything he’s doing.
I’m just a Trump admirer. I didn’t start out this way. I recall hearing him say everything I wanted to hear and I simply couldn’t believe my ears. I thought his words were too good to be true.
Yet he followed through on everything he could relentlessly. He’s not just hot air but the real deal. He really, really loves America and he has my everlasting appreciation particularly in the face of the liberal onslaught he has had to endure.
Accusing us of what they did with Obama for eight years. Obama-love was and still is the political cult.

I remember walking through downtown Denver in the summer of 2008. I turned the corner and saw that "iconic" blue and red agitprop graphic of Obama with the word "HOPE" underneath the knucklehead's picture. It was a mural two stories tall on the side of a building.
My jaw dropped. It looked like something lifted from the Stalinist Soviet Union. It was a cult of personality. I never before had seen anything by a major political party that was as shameful as that open homage to Stalinism.
The whole Obama presidency was defined by the cult of Obama.
The Obama cult is pretty much dead now isn’t it? It’s witnessed a slow but steady decline. The Left is like a cult. The members are full of self hate and they wait for a messiah to absolve them of it.
They did this at the CBC all the time, back in canada, and during the 2003 invasion of Iraq.. They make it a 4 or 5 -person panel (mostly anti-American assholes and the same 4 would be leftards.)
The lone conservative would be all alone to defend his/her position to exhaustion. That’s how the View fugly hags get their “points” across..
