Over the past several decades, the left has convinced United States citizens that it is the only option for black and other minority voters. If any blacks dare to deviate from this narrative, they get labeled as an “Uncle Tom” or worse. Fortunately, for the benefit of America’s black community, many black intellectuals have risen to prominence who challenge the left’s perceived ownership of the black vote. And while I do not think the color of someone’s skin matters when seeking truth, these intellectuals provide a perspective and persuasive ability that can’t be matched by others.

Perhaps one of the greatest intellectuals of our time is Thomas Sowell. Sowell is an economist and social theorist who is currently a Senior Fellow at the Hoover Institute. He has written bestselling books including “Black Rednecks and White Liberals”, “Basic Economics: A Citizens Guide to the Economy” and “Discrimination and Disparities”. Sowell has built an illustrious career by pointing out the economic illiteracy of the left. For this reason, you will almost never hear him mentioned by mainstream leftists. He is a powerful black man armed with economic facts; a dangerous weapon against the left.

Blacks don’t understand that they have been replaced as a useful grievance group by ILLEGALS. Blacks have burned down cities for far less. The liberal social re-engineering of blacks and women has destroyed America.
One of Thomas Sowell’s BFFs is Dr. Walter E. Williams, Distinguished Professor of Economics at George Mason Univ. in VA, Retired. A brilliant man and a delight to listen to him speak; as is Dr. Sowell.

Thomas Sowell is one of the smartest and most reasoning people in America.The Black Elite hate him and probably so do those who consider themselves elite in America both Democrat and Republican. I wish instead of Obama we would have elected a real black with the reasoning powers of Mr. Sowell.

I would recommend that you read either Sowell or Williams. They will explain to you why she hasn’t gotten a raise.
I LOVE these guys. But I give the edge to Williams because he has the right view on the Confederacy.
I have half a dozen of Sowell’s books and they’re all brilliant. Been reading him for decades. And Williams is brilliant as well and funnier, and that’s saying something. Coleman Hughes I did not know until this article, which is why I love FR so.
Sowell’s reasoning powers failed us in 2016. He was a die-hard Trump hater. One of National Review’s Gang of 22 Never Trumpers.
His day in the sun has passed.
