North Korea leader Kim Jong Un launched -- not a missile -- but an unusual public attack on his own officials during inspections of several ongoing projects in the Hermit Kingdom, visits he said that left him appalled and speechless due to a lack of progress and attention to detail.
Kims statements, released by the state-run Korean Central News Agency on Tuesday, were made during his field guidance visits at construction sites in the country. The despots disappointment was reportedly visible during a visit to the Orangchon Power Station construction site in the northeast. After officials briefed him about the project and its delays, Kim became "extremely enraged," KCNA reported.
Kims late grandfather, North Korean founder Kim Il Sung, had initially given the project the green light in the early 1980s. But on Tuesday, it was only 70 percent complete.
He reprimanded the leading officials of the Cabinet for leaving the project to the province only and not paying attention to it, KCNA said in its statement....

Ballast on the next missile test? Raunch him.
I should apply for a job. My first power plant job was construction coordinator for a $20 million power plant addition project. It was one of the funnest projects I had working in plants. I remember the president of the engineering company that designed it telling us that it’s typical for one person to get killed during a power plant construction project. No one got killed, put a foreman for the mechanical sub fell onto a piece of rebar that went right up his rear end. He was pretty messed up, but eventually recovered.
Nice turn of phrase by Ms. Lam.
Would make a good title for a short story or novel or comic opera.
I knew a guy shot a deer dead that was running away. Couldn’t find the bullet hole/blood. Shot him right up the ass.
I wonder if this image is playing in Rocket boys head?
I used to recruit power plant and paper mill engineers.
down on the farm
after they've seen Paree.
Rocketman got a glimpse and a taste of true freedom and came back home to his shit hole of his own making.
This is progress.
Had one also! Back around 1978 or 79. I was there. Do we know the same guy? California? lol
Texas heart shot.
So you worked for a recruiting firm? How did you find your recruits?
Kim should hire Trump companies. He’ll convert to capitalism right away.
Calling into companies and poaching (I was pretty good at that) the Internet and job sites. Almost everybody is on the Internet now in some form or fashion. Recruiting is hard because you have to make two simultaneous sales; the employer and the candidate. If either backs out you have no sale. Probably why it pays decent money.
In North Korea, when they say, “Your Fired!”, you’re fired, literally, out of a cannon.
Kind of what I thought. I got calls from a guy for two different jobs, a couple years apart. I’ve often wondered how he found me because I had almost no internet presence (still don’t-I’m retired now) and he was very secretive about who he worked for. Had I shown any interest, I presume he would have eventually told me but I don’t know. I thought he heard about me from someone with whom I worked (first guess, one of the contractors I worked with) but I never found out.
I’m sure you had an interesting and challenging job. I would imagine your profession is in much demand right now.
It’s always in demand, even when you think it wouldn’t be. Companies always need specialized, hard-to-get professionals even if they’re not hiring rank-and-file workers.
Yeah, that’s what I’ve observed. Nowadays I imagine that rank-and-file skilled tradespeople are in high demand, because so few smart young people want to get their hands dirty and do the heavy lifting required. I’ve been reading in industry journals for at least a couple of decades that when the boomers retire there will be dearth of people looking to work in the trades. So, what do you do if Americans don’t want to do the heavy lifting? You recruit immigrants who will.
Breakout the anti-aircraft guns! Someone is about to be annihilated. Nevertheless, this guy is like an old 60’s Blofeld Bond villain with the attire.
