North Korean leader Kim Jong Un said the country should feed its soldiers better, according to state media KCNA on Wednesday, after a defected North Korean soldier's health last year highlighted nutrition problems in the isolated state.
On a visit to a military rations factory, Kim said it should produce tasty and nutritious food to "substantially contribute to improving the diet of the servicepersons", according to KCNA.
Kim said "officials and employees of the factory should always overfulfill the production plan on all indices, bearing in mind the noble intention of leader Kim Jong Il (his late father) who spared nothing for the soldiers of the People's Army". "Make sure that they still feel his loving care."(continued)

Kim, stop acting as though you just found out today how your military has been starving, along with your entire nation.
The whole world is watching!
Double rations of grass and tree bark for everyone!!
You can only do so much to improve human feces fertilized rice/maize, kimchi and bean paste.
The whole point is to make the police/soldiers the least starved. They need to become dependent on those calories so they don’t ever think about revolt. I mean come on, this is communist basics.
FAT Boi says soldiers should eat more than grass?
There may be tons of spare MREs that the Pentagon can spare, but only if the NORKs defect.
The South Korean’s military rations would be much more palatable to North Koreans than ours would be.

That is the 2nd time 2nd has posted that video. I watched it from the beginning the first time. Thanks 2nd. It was well worth watching.
To All: Watch it. Very interesting.
Korean MRE producers should ramp the hell up and the Korean air force with Kim’s permission of course should start flying missions over the NORKS and air drop MRE’s to the people.
To make it worth their while a joint venture should be started between Korea and the NORKS as in having for profit MRE restaurants once they denuke.
Kim needs one of those special Democrat unicorns that can poop Skittles, fart cotton candy and serve green bubble tea through its nostrils.
I almost fell in love with the plump North Korean gal. Just goes to show you can’t judge a book by it’s cover.
MREs might be too rich for North Koreans even the better fed soldiers, since they are used to so little. They’d get the trots for sure.
That is an easily solvable problem. First MRE’s: Rice and Kimchi with a tiny bit of meat. Include deworming meds and instructions on use. Also an instruction sheet explaining if they start by eating to much they will poop themselves. Slowly richen up the MRE’s air dropped. Include a thumb drive with the video shown to Kim and broadcast by NORK media.
End it with a Trump statement that so far as far as we can see your leader has chosen wisely. This is meant as a token gift to him and to you.
Follow it up with the video of SpaceX boosters landing.
The soldiers aren’t fed any better then the civilians. Remember the guy who deserted? He had an eight inch tape worm in him. The NK Army gets by on a meager ration of potatoes and raw corn kernels. The average North Korean soldier is smaller in stature and weight then his South Korean counter part. Things are much worse in the North then Western media shows.
Kim needs to control the potential improvements and ensure they dribble out - if for no other reason than to try to save some face and maintain some sort of ‘credibility’ with the NORKs....
I thought dog over rice was supposed to be pretty tasty.
It might be, but the occasions of even getting a mouthful of meat in North Korea are few and far between. You’re lucky to get rice or kimchi. And white rice is only for your birthday.
