PHILADELPHIA -- Eagles safety Malcolm Jenkins issued a strong response to Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones on Friday, referring to him as a "bully" for requiring his players to stand for the national anthem, while urging owners around the league -- including Eagles Chairman and CEO Jeffrey Lurie -- to speak up in support of the players on this issue.
"Jeffrey has been very supportive of us from the beginning. I don't see Jeffrey as a bully like Jerry Jones is. Lucky for me, I don't play for the Cowboys. Nor would I want to. I think it's unfortunate that you have owners like him that use his position to intimidate and intentionally thwart even the idea of his players thinking individually or having a voice about issues that affect their communities daily, which is unfortunate. But for them, hopefully you'll have guys challenge that, and they'll have my full support."
Who cares what an eagles player says about anything Cowboys?
Another rocket scientist heard from.
Malcolm Jenkins is another deceived, deluded liberal.
And another thing ... it’s Jerry’s team, he writes their paychecks, he can tell them what to do or not do. He’s the boss, they’re the employees.
As the owner of the Dallas Cowboys, he’s well within his right to set company policies. Who cares what Malcolm Jenkins has to say.
Dak could kneel naked during the National Anthum and Jones would not pull him out of the game.
It’s not about bullying. It’s about validating the hatred for this country that some people have, and make money off of.
Make a rule that applies to all, and enforce it. No exceptions.
He’s happy on the Eagles’ Plantation.....................
I bet he would..................
Very low IQ’ers
We are defecting as fans of this sport by the millions because of these anti American steroid freaks. I did’t watch any game last year and I am canceling the NFL channel. I was shocked that I was paying for. We need professional football that is much more racially diverse anyway.
Another NFL thug commenting on matters out of his control.
Only one thing will open these hyper-inflated guys’ egos; Total boycott and collapse of the NFL pay structure. This guy is demanding the right to disrespect our National Flag and National Anthem. That cannot be tolerated.
Too bad the NFL let their roster get filled up with players from one particular political persuasion.
Don’t forget, according to Jenkins and his ilk, they’re not disrespecting the flag or anthem by kneeling during singing the anthem and presentation of the flag.
Good...their side should keep on talking so they will lose more fans.
A gated, guarded community of millionaires where "issues" happen daily?
Once again, the players think they own and run the franchises. Goodell seems to agree with them.
