ATLANTA -- Atlanta Braves pitcher Sean Newcomb apologized Sunday for a series of offensive tweets he sent as a teenager, calling them "some stupid stuff.''
The 25-year-old Newcomb spoke less than an hour after he nearly pitched a no-hitter against the Los Angeles Dodgers. The tweets were sent in 2011 and 2012, when Newcomb was a senior in high school.
One tweet included a racial epithet that was part of a rap lyric, and several others contained gay slurs.
"I just wanted to apologize for any insensitive material,'' Newcomb said. "It was a long time ago, six or seven years ago, saying some stupid stuff with friends.

I just talked to some family members in Atlanta tonight...they say Newcomb is fighting for his career at this point.
Atlanta has a large homosexual population for some reason. The city and suburbs be the rock of the Southern GOP. I don’t know what happened since.

I remember when Daniel Murphy, then of the Flushing Metropolitans, said he didn’t agree with the gay lifestyle as a Christian when specifically asked about it. Million were micro-aggressed into becoming permanent safe-space dwellers. That was in 2015 if I recall.

Atlanta is also a cluster for transgenders. There are a large number of plastic surgeons and specialists who concentrate on all the plumbing and mechanical alterations that are required to bend one’s gender. So that’s a big plus for the city. To busy. To hate.

That doesn't work. I tried it. The "trainer" reported me to HR for being "disruptive/disrespectful" and I was required to take the training a second time. See my advice to Sean upthread. Company paid naps are great.
There are so many more worthwhile and entertaining activities than watching sports (or even on having on in the background). Starve the beast.
