“We need new GOP Senators.”

Yes, we do, but it’s not easy ridding ourselves of incumbents.

Some of us in Georgia tried to get rid of Isakson when he ran for the senate seat vacated by Zell Miller, but he won the primary with over 50% and it seems we’re stuck with him.

We failed in our first attempt to Cantorize the weasel Eric Cantor in 2012.
We succeeded in 2014.

The Senate is unaccountable to the voters. At six years the terms are too long. The cost of running for the Senate is too high for citizens without big donor support. The Senate is a club that protects its own first, the donor base second and if the needs of the constituents do not conflict with the first two, they will serve the constituents.

It is ironic the progressives touted the 17th Amendment (direct election of the Senate) as making Senators more accountable.
