Democrats’ objections to Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh continue to mount. Sen. Mazie Hirono (Hawaii) complains that “all I see from his record is a slavish devotion to the written law. I see no willingness to consider the unwritten law or the social justice implications of refusing to create new laws when circumstances warrant it.”

Sen. Richard Blumenthal (Conn) found “Kavanaugh’s lack of military experience a bit troubling. My Vietnam service has been an essential building block of my career. I couldn’t have been the effective senator I have been without it.”

Sen. Christopher Coons (Del) lamented “the inadequate paper trail provided by the Republicans. We need to see every document Judge Kavanaugh has ever touched if we are to give the fully informed advice and consent that the Constitution has assigned to us as senators.”

The “every document” demand amounts to nearly 3 million additional pages and would take many months to assemble. Right now the senators have access to 500,000 pages of documents—more than twice as many pages as have been provided for any previous Supreme Court nominee by either Party.

Sen. Thom Tillis (R-SC) derided what he labeled “an insatiable appetite for irrelevant trivia. The key documents senators should be reading to evaluate Judge Kavanaugh’s fitness are his written decisions in actual cases. These are the instances in which a judge has to rule on the law. Any admin work he might have done before he was a judge isn’t pertinent to or indicative of his legal reasoning.”

The leftists trtied to make the Confirmation Hearing into a protest pseudo event, based on a litany of other pseudo events concerning President Trump.

What a laugh. The Dems showed America that they are ALL a bunch of light weight pikers.

The screamed interruptions from interest groups were allowed and they were prompted and warned by Capitol police. After a dozen warnings or so, the special interest resistance a$$hats were escorted peacefully from the hearing room. They had what they wanted, another pseudo event to add to the huge pile of pseudo events the lefty Senators had Trumped up ( pardon the pun.) I’d say PDJT occupies whatever real estate these Dem Senators have in their narrow squeegee little minds. Trump owns them! They can’t even think straight.

I thought Leahy would pish himself when there was no postponement of the hearing; he had to exit for a geriatric bladder break, Cory Booker showed his complete idiocy and disrespect for the hearing process, like a well trained radical Alinsky man should/S.( Grassley; “ Are you through yet?” LOL)

Most Americans won't watch and will themselves decide that if the Democrats are acting up, they must have good reason. Democrats do things that stir outrage in me all the time, and I watch in consternation as people keep electing them. I had a cabbie today who shared his political wisdom with me. He seemed to be in his late 30s, has a 9 year old daughter and said, "John McCain was the only likeable Republican, wasn't he?" I said, "That depends on who you ask, doesn't it?" Then he made some comments about not trusting any politicians, although, "Barack 0bama was legit." It's a sad fact that most Americans don't know what they really ought to and are easily swayed by politicians who seem "legit."
