(ON MONDAY 10-24-2016 OUR DAUGHTER TRACI'S BIRTHDAY I WROTE THE FOLLOWING): CALL BE CRAZY AND LAUGH, BUT I BELIEVE THAT WHICH THE WORLD CALLS THE EFFECTS OF GLOBAL WARMING IS ACTUALLY "THE EFFECTS OF GLOBAL DUSTING." TRUE, I'M NOT A METEOROLOGIST OR CLIMATE EXPERT, BUT NEITHER ARE THE ONE'S WITH DEGREES "LOL". I've made many such claims since I was a little boy and most have become reality as confirmed by science and other formal authorities, PLUS my own Family and Friends. My theory here is, due to there being more people on earth at this time than ever before in HIStory, the surface activity on the earth is greatly increased in volume. During the hot months and locations the dust particles that have become airborne due to activity of every kind are lifted high into the atmosphere, where at that point, through the process of molecular attraction, moisture within the atmosphere is drawn to the dust particles until each individual one becomes too heavy to remain aloft and hence the thunderstorm downpours and massive downdrafts occur which create Tornadoes and other extremely high velocity winds and floods. Likewise with Hurricanes, as massive dust storms blow from the West African Coast carried by trade winds heading East toward America, this same process is underway and is fueled by unlimited warm ocean waters that make the event HUGE AND GROWING every DUST SEASON. The solution to the problem is to somehow limit the amount of surface dust being stirred during the most critical times of hot weather zones, especially across America's plains and that coming from West Africa. Someday we'll see if I'm right about this. The amount of ‘dusting’ humans can create (short of the widespread use of nuclear weapons), dwarf in comparison to a single volcano.

Global Dusting? Man Made Global Dusting = more severe weather.... because increased human activity? I think that’s the direction you are going here.
Thoughts... I am not convinced that the “weather” has been more severe over the last 30 - 50 years than any other time in history. It’s been unusually calm in the Atlantic over the past 20 years (averaged out). So I am not convinced without empirical evidence of even the effect of the theory.
Now, and therefore to hither.... If there is an affect to the global climate that is the result of human existence, I expect it to be one of irrelevant magnitude. I believe it would be like measuring the rise in sea level after you urinate in the ocean. Did you change the amount of liquid in the ocean when you peed? SURE! Therefore the sea level has risen by your own doing. Is it significant, measurable or cause for concern? NO.
In the same way, when we compare the heat energy that humans produce as part of our “activity” on the planet to all other variables, our component should be irrelevant. As many have pointed out, the intensity of our very own star (we call it the sun) is actually variable. The sun goes through cycles of intensity. Volcanic activity on our planet is not constant either. But it is relentless. Ultimately, the degree to which we measure the “average global temperature” should be compared to what we know of the geological history of our planet. I wonder what the average temperature of this planet was at the peak of the last ice age? I bet it was different than 1 degree F from now.
The solution to the potential idea of your theory seems to follow the same path that the MMGW religious nutballs. If we all just give more of our money away and stop producing stuff and moving around and building, the earth would stay the EXACT SAME TEMPERATURE it needs to be for a perfect planet. (Let me know what we should set the T-stat at for that perfect global temperature.)

And I was expecting the writer to blame all those African Dust Storms we get all the time for the problems we have....

I helped in the design of the LARGEST mining trucks in history, just for one example, and the amount of DUST created by people of today is ENORMOUS due to all the HEAVY construction around-the-world, not to mention MY MAIN MENTION OF SARAHAN DUST EACH SEASON and the DUST OF THE AMERICAN PLAINS that’s conveniently not addressed here.
My Theory has ZER0 to do with slowing or stopping activities and jobs, but instead gives thought to such things as covering the Sahara with a substance that prohibits dust from becoming airborne in-the-first-place = MORE JOBS OF SUBSTANCE WITH A PURPOSE.
