The Times’ Haley Hit Piece Reinforces Americans’ Hatred of the Fake News Media

Today’s Campaign Update (Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Was that a bad pun, or are you just really that dumb? – I swear I just heard a TV reporter standing in knee-deep water on a flooded street somewhere in North Carolina say, without a smile on his face or a trace of humor in his voice, “This is a fluid situation.”

Let the Campaign Update take you on a walk through Bad Television History. – Incidentally, every time you see one of these reporters tell you “Whatever you do, do not go out into this weather!” while he himself is standing outside in 100 mph winds and blinding sheets of rain, remember we have Dan Rather to blame for this.

Yes, friends, way back in 1961, as Hurricane Carla was making her landfall along the Texas Gulf Coast, fake news icon Dan Rather was just a cub reporter at the local CBS affiliate in Houston. It was he who got the bright idea to grab a camera man and go out into the hurricane itself to do a live report, in which he warned Houstonians to do what he said, not what he was doing.

That reporting got him attention from the high muckety-mucks at CBS’s national office, and the rest is fake news history. Since that time, thousands of frustrated local reporters have tried to emulate Rather’s path to fake news glory, and about 99.9% of them have miserably failed, succeeding only in annoying the viewers of their local TV stations and endangering themselves, their cameramen and their production crews in the process. That’s a legacy to be proud of, if you’re a raging narcissist like Mr. Rather.

Friday’s Outrage Mob moment, brought to you by the fakenewsers at the New York Times. – It has been quite obvious for going on two years now that if you are high-performing senior person in the Donald Trump Administration, the fake news media, led by the New York Times and CNN, is going work overtime to find some way to smear you.

The 10-month daily smear campaign by the Times finally succeeded in forcing EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt’s resignation earlier this summer and other similar campaigns have been unsuccessfully mounted against Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Neilsen, White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders, Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin, Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke, Education Secretary Betsy DeVos, and many others. In fact, if you’re a high-level Trump official and you haven’t been subjected to a media smear, you might want to wonder about your job security.

No Trump appointee has performed her job at a higher level than UN Ambassador Nikki Haley, who has done a truly stellar job of representing U.S. interests before that collection of international thugs, despots and general ne’er-do-wells. Since she’s doing such a great job, the fake news hacks at the New York Times decided to mount a smear of her reputation on Friday, running a hit piece whose headline claimed that Ms. Haley was spending more than $52,000 for curtains for her “new” official UN Ambassador residence, which the Times story attempted to portray as some extravagant upgrade over the Obama-era residence.

Oh, the Outrage Mob on Twitter and other social media went nuts over the story, with thousands of vacuous social justice warriors and assorted other nitwits and soulless ghouls tweeting stuff like “OMG, can you, like, believe, like, Nikki Haley is, like, you know, wasting our taxpayer dollars on curtains and, like, stuff?”

Of course, none of the members of the Outrage Mob bothered to read past the Times’ tweet and headline, into the bowels of the story itself. If they had, they would have found, buried in the story’s sixth paragraph, the fact that the curtains were custom ordered and paid for by the Barack Obama Administration, which had also made the decision to move the U.N. Ambassador’s office out of the pricey Waldorf Towers to their current location in 2016, long before anyone had any inkling that Ms. Haley would become our UN Ambassador.

It took half a day, but the Times finally reluctantly issued a correction to the story mid-afternoon, revising its headline and including an editor’s note just below the headline. But of course, the damage had already been done as hundreds of thousands of misinformed Americans will never see the correction, a fact of which the Times’ reporters and their editors were no doubt fully aware when they knowingly rushed an absurdly inaccurate story into print.

These are the very same people, mind you, who wail and moan and demonize anyone who criticizes our fake national news media.

Meanwhile, over at NBC’s hurricane coverage, it’s time to rile up the SJW Mob. – And hey, if you’re NBC and trying to horn your way into this Outrage Mob act, but having a hard time breaking through the New York Times/CNN Wall of News Fakery, what do you do?

Why, you spice up your hurricane coverage with an idiotic, evidence-devoid claim that some poor Coast Guard guy who is working his butt of to save peoples’ lives “appears to give” the “white power sign” in the video linked here.

Gosh, it’s so darn hard to understand why so many millions of Americans – a number that grows every day – literally hate our news media. What could the reason possibly be?

Just another day in the fake news media is part of the deep state America.

That is all.

I don’t care about Nikki Haley’s curtains but I do care about the support she gives to the Al-Qaeda head choppers in Syria with her diatribes about a humanitarian crisis and chemical attacks in Syria not backed up by real proof, just #FakeNews videos shot by jihadist affiliated “White Helmets”.

“...every time you see one of these reporters tell you “Whatever you do, do not go out into this weather!” while he himself is standing outside in 100 mph winds and blinding sheets of rain. “

But, but...he’s a professional.

If they’ll tell lies that are demonstrably false, what about accusations based solely on someone’s verbal account that can’t be disproved? Everything they say that can’t be independently and objectively verified is presumptively a lie to a reasoning adult, until proven otherwise.

The supposed “white supremacy” sign looked to me like the guy was scratching his face, like he was tired.

And since when is an “Okay” sign a symbol of white supremacy? Is this another innocent sign that the left has imbued with motives of racism?

When dealing with most of the media remember your dealing with a child’s mind that tends to have fits often ensued with lies.

She moves from one bad scenario to another and is very ambitious.

She’ll never get my vote for POTUS in 2024.
