This is what happens when the GOP leadership consciously chooses not to fight back.

Look at our historical record...

Nixon, Bork, Newt Gingrich, Tom DeLay, Alaska Senator Ted Stevens, Alabama Judge Roy Moore, EPA Director Scott Pruitt, and now Kavanaugh.

After the Democrats watched Donald Trump flush Scott Pruitt down the toilet, they know they can assault ANY Trump nominee with complete impunity.

Unless our leadership fights back with the same intensity and with the same tactics as the Democrats, we will be politically dead in the very near future.

Re: “Hundreds here on FR hate Roy Moore just as much as Erik Erickson or any NeverTrumper or even as much as the WaPo does. In fact, I just about quit FR over it.”

You forgot to mention the recent political destruction of EPA Director Scott Pruitt.

At least a dozen Freepers attacked me for defending Pruitt, who was the only consequential Conservative in the entire Trump Administration.

Madness.

Fight back or politically die, Freepers.

I did not believe Anita Hill, nor did I think her accusations were significant, if they had been even somewhat true. Hill wanted to keep the conservative black man off the court.

Ford does not want Judge Kavanaugh on the Court. I think that is her underlying motive. The timing and methodology, even the “violation” and alleged harms are suspect and this is troubling.

Good point. I'm beginning to think I just don't have anything in common with so-called "conservatives" from states like Noo Yawk, Noo Joisey, Kalifornia, and other places where Demonrats rule and the RINOs go along just to get invited to the swanky dinners. Scott Pruitt was a good man-- he was once my State Senator in OK. I think the EPA is evil, unconstitutional and should be destroyed, but Pruitt might have reformed it, in time. Too late now. In fact, I think it's too late for the Federal government. The Deep State won the battle over the Federal government. Let's get on with the bloody civil war.

I believe the accuser claims that she can't remember what year the incident occurred but she can remember how old she was.

She claims that she was traumatized and this episode changed her life.

Before the incident she was willing, at around the age of 15, to attend drinking parties with older high school students. One wonders how many such parties she attended.

After the incident, the trauma would have changed her behavior such that she would not attend such parties. And yet she can't clearly remember when her life changed so dramatically. I find every reason to think she is lying and no reason whatever to believe her.

I’m not sure what you’re asking.

It gives a few RINOs the excuse they need to vote “no” and also attempts to pressure him to decline the nomination so it doesn’t harm his family...it’s how scum operates.

Yes, and we should never treat nevertrumpertroll Erick Erickson as credible, either.
