The upside is that K will be confirmed and Rats have blown their fake ammo on trying to block a confirmation that was a just a conservative replacing a leaning conservative.
What are they going to do if/when Ruth “Buzzi” gives it up? When you have a conservative set to replace an ultra-liberal? Especially if a woman is nominated?

I think Trump is saving a female fudge for when RBG finally expires. They will need a new playbook for that one (beyond the pro life thing, of course).
And they blundered, in my opinion, in picking the filibuster fight over the Gorsuch nomination. The landscape here might be very different, if the filibuster rule was still in effect.
But they already anticipated that POTUS will be impeached or vaporized.
Or that his RBG replacement will be a femme judge.
Besides, I don’t think the old rules apply with the incoming crowd of progressives. It’s anything and everything short of killin’ to get their way.
