What could be clearer, than that the Democrats established as a matter of policy that there was never going to be another Republican POTUS. We see that, obviously, in all the lawlessness which went on in the Obama Administration, which must have been predicated on the idea that no opposition POTUS would be nosing around the files that would implicate them in wrongdoing. That first FISA application was never supposed to see the light of day. They thought the fix was in. Immediately after the election, naturally, the Democrats reacted with all of the civility of a gambler who had bought the outcome of a basketball game would when the result he had bet against happened.

The Reid Rule which eviscerated the filibuster was convenient in getting the DC courts under control, and so they went for it. What’s the harm, if there’s never gonna be a Republican POTUS to nominate someone the Democrats would want to filibuster?
