I know many here don't believe Q, but he mentioned months ago that Ginsberg was dirty, and that Trump knew it. She was involved in the "selling" of her seat, that was supposed to be be taken by Loretta Lynch as part of the infamous Tarmac Deal Meeting.

Q said that Trump would nail Ginsberg for this, and get her out. Q also said that Justice Scalia was murdered.

“Q also said that Justice Scalia was murdered.”

Everybody knew that a day after it happened. Q might be late to the party on that one.

“Caorl Swain on that list. Black, female, Conservative who’s as sharp as a knife.”

If that is the Carol Swain who’s in one of Dinesh D’Souza’s movies, I agree with you. Taught Law at Vanderbilt. Haven’t seen her on TV as analyst lately. Although the Rats will say she isn’t REALLY black.

Thomas will only retire within the next year or two if he feels safe that a reliable replacement can be confirmed. Nov 2018 is SO important to us—we need at least 55 senators.

I think Ginsburg would like to wait out Trump before retiring. But, just my observation, I don’t think she will make it. Personally, I think the Dems wasted valuable political capital and credibility on Kavenaugh. They should have saved it for the Ginsburg fight.

... and Clarence Thomas should ALSO retire (he’s 70) and open up the slot for a younger conservative.

Thomas will retire when the President is re-elected, IMHO

Or perhaps if the Republicans gain 8-10 seats in the Senate a month from now. Some of the seats they pick up would be 100% Trump supporters and they would have easy confirmations without the two sisters of mayhem. Collins and Murkowski would become practically irrelevant.

That gives the President a 6-3 court, because the next pick is going to be a woman. Barrett being #1, probably. Although, I’d love to see him put Caorl Swain on that list. Black, female...

Why don’t we leave the identity politics to the left?
The only qualification someone should need for the Supreme Court is what’s between their ears, not between their legs (or the color of their skin).

I hope not we got too many on the court already, 2 is even too much. Unless the woman can stick to constitution and separate her feelings and views from decision making and just decided based on what laws already state, I don’t want any more women on the court.

Given the behavior of those in the Senate, I don’t even want any women in GOVERNMENT.

Seriously. It’s because of that Witch Feinswine that all this has happened with Kavanaugh, and it’s those two other spineless idiots Murcowski and Collins that are holding the entire process up for blackmail so that the Democrats get what they want. Hard not to see what all of these vermin have in common.

President Trump is assuring that there will be no more legislation coming from the bench.

His position about the Constitution involves a separation of powers issue.

And he is right.

That would be her.

I know that she is/was running for Mayor of Nashville. Not sure how that worked out or is working out, given the fact that Nashville has become very liberal.

Oh what a wonderful world it would be if those two were the kind that walked the halls of Congress with no name tags and became unknowns.

If RBG goes, it’s a 5-3 court.

Well, Chief Justice Roberts has some “moderate tendencies” (e.g. Obamacare). He is right more often than wrong, but I wouldn’t say he is solid. And we don’t know yet what kind of justice Kavanaugh will be. Some people say he is similar to Roberts. Perhaps this Senate circus will make him reliable.

You are right. That is should be about what’s between their ears and interpreting laws, based on the Constitution. However, the Left has chosen that that isn’t a qualification and hasn’t been for quite some time.

Allow me to pose a question. If the President nominated Prof Turley to SCOTUS, do you think the Left would support him?

He has stated that he’s a, liberal. However, from what I’ve seen of him and his articles, he’s a pretty strict Constitutionalist. He seems to care more about the law, above all. So, he’s not Ginsburg. Actually a very far cry from it. Probably wouldn’t fit in w/ the radicals on the 9th Circuit either. I would have no problem with him wearing one of those robes, actually.

But, it seems to me that, even though you don’t want to/we shouldn’t, label any of them, the “Conservative” justices seem to be the most fair, IMHO.

Breyer (age 80) is likely to go too, within the next six years. I would also like to see Thomas (age 70) resign before the end of President Trump’s second term. As much as I like him, I would feel better with a much younger man in the spot, and Trump has proven he keeps his word on judicial nominations (and everything else). With Gorsuch, Kavanaugh, and RBG’s replacement, plus hopefully the Wise Latina’s replacement, that would take us to six young Justices who believe in written law rather than a “Living Constitution”. That may be enough to protect freedom without a civil war.

The Judiciary committee had better get a more civilized procedure in place, and not let another nasty display of naked politics.

I know they used to vote via Affidavit meaning in writing.
That would end the grandstanding and we would have a more merit based process.

Seriously people this could be the opportunity of a generation. God says:
2 Chronicles 7:14 King James Version (KJV)
14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

This is the time for that. What is our job? it is to be humble and pray! Not much to ask. More productive than speculating and be frustrated.

God bless

I think if it gets to 6-3 maybe we could take a vote on Roe v
Wade. That was a Crap Lib decision that has empowered Dems for decades.

when you see a Democratic Justice pass on or retire....Trump will likely take his time (maybe 12 to 24 months) before he selects anyone

I like how you think. He can easily comment on not wanting anyone to suffer again like how the dems treated his last nominee.
