Another hurricane fizzles.
Vanity

Posted on 10/02/2018 10:30:24 AM PDT by pfflier

We have survived Hurricane Rosa here in the western part of Arizona. The weather guessers have breathlessly been forecasting three inches of watery doom for the past few days. We got drizzle for two of them although Sunday's monsoon thunderstorm was pretty epic. The problem there is they happen once or twice every monsoon season. This was our once or twice.

Now this morning's report has the doomsday hurricane remnants and our forecasted three inches, moving east towards Phoenix. The weather channel staff looked disappointed, once again facing failure of their european model for hurricane track forecasting. Their second "worst ever" moment for a killer hurricane this year is fizzling. Their only bright spot was they are holding out for flash flooding in New River. Nothing defines them better than pictures and stories of motorists on the interstate watching flood waters flow through the designated washes and flood basins.

Oh well, maybe next year we can get lucky in the land the weather channel chronically ignores and get back in the limelite here if the weather channel starts naming dust devils.

Now they will have to wait for the cold days of winter to blame President Trump's policy of climate change heresy for every snowflake that falls earlier than January first.

Welcome to America, where even the weather forecast is a lie.

If global warming causes more frequent and stronger hurricanes and there are fewer and weaker hurricanes, why doesn’t the left compare that they say against reality... Yes, a rhetorical question. The answer is that they are in a cult. Just like in all cults, when reality collides with their fantasy, reality must be wrong.

It was a nice steady rain here yesterday. Weather service predicts a range, the TV networks need eyeballs, so they take the high end and increase it and now they’ve got must see TV. Or so they hope.

Doesn't sound like much is coming our way.

"The remnants of Hurricane Rosa will move northward over eastern Utah from Tuesday through Tuesday night. A steady moderate rainfall is expected on the southern slopes and isolated instances of flooding are possible. Valley locations will see less rainfall, however the lower elevations of southeast Utah and southwest Colorado could still see some flash flooding. Rainfall will wind down early on Wednesday morning."—NWS, Grand Junction, CO

Kinda tough to blame anemic storms on global warming, climate change or whatever they’re calling it this week...

Nope.

It’s an intentional lie.

There is nothing left that isn’t politicized.

Politics trumps everything.

That’s true, and the politics of the Left is literal mental and spiritual poison.

Or they are “desirous” of disasters so that their beliefs are confirmed.

It’s another example of how powerful belief systems are and how unwilling people are to change them even in the face of repeated contradictions by reality.

It was supposed to rain and thunderstorm from Sunday night through Wednesday in the Yavapai County area. Prescott Valley even offered free sandbags to residents.

Right now it has been on and off light rain through Tuesday morning. Not even worth putting on a jacket while walking the dogs. Yes, this is a bust so far.
