California Craziness:Thousands of Families Have Had Enough of High Taxes, Unaffordable Housing...

If California is the gold standard among the 50 states in the country, then why are thousands leaving every year for lower taxed, less regulated, less Democrat-dominated locales?

Reading the DC/NY-centric press, the Golden State is regularly held up as a role model for America. But the mainstream media always fails to report on the mass exodus of struggling Californians leaving at a higher and higher rate each year. Particularly, many young parents and families are picking up and moving somewhere else because they have simply been priced out of the state.

According to the American Community Survey, California’s net domestic out-migration has almost tripled to 140,000 annually since 2010. Over the last seven and a half years, the state has lost about a million people, with a great number of that coming from the Los Angeles area.

So they’ll move to red states and bring the same dumb policies which destroyed their homes. Yep.

Where I live in WA state, there must be thousands of Californians moving in. Their license plates are everywhere.

They are selling their real estate in CA, buying here, thus driving up development, driving up real estate prices here and driving up the property taxes that come with the higher real estate prices.

Thanks for nothing.

I want to leave WA state but the wife won’t agree.

A friend of mine recently went on line just for fun to see the value of the house in CA that she first lived in, almost 80 years ago. It was a typical modest bungalow, now worth over 3 MILLION!
Shocked she greatly was! :-)

Well, my wife, and I are going to move out of California as soon as we can, and I will guarantee you we aren’t taking leftist dumb policies with us anywhere.

We saw since children all of the lefty, what in the 1950’s we called “East Coasters” swarm California like flies on doo doo to get away from the snow, the hurricanes for the beaches, the Sun. They came stating exactly why they were coming, and they brought with them their leftist ways.

California went to HELL starting in those days, and a lot of it was due to the proliferation of then new technology television. They’d watch all those shows, parades, etc. coming from California, and they’d pack up their bags.

We know. We were here. We saw it happen. A beautiful State, and it still is, but for the damned Democrats.

.........and I wish all these California refugees go somewhere besides Arizona. We don’t need their nutty ideas which they tend to bring with them.

My sister (RIP) and her husband moved from Hayward California to Tempe Arizona because the Hayward school system was so bad-—it was a horribly, criminally BAD union thug-run school system. Theirs was a good move, their youngest daughter thrived in the great Tempe schools and at ASU.

However, sister and husband did not leave behind in CA their very left wing Rat party ideas. It was very irritating that they were always straight ticket Rat voters.

...then incessantly whine about how much better California was...

We need about 10-20 million to leave. The sooner the better.

I hope they don’t move to Colorado and vote with the other Californians for the same things here.

Supply and demand? You mean it’s your own neighbors in WA who are driving up the prices, right?

Well, considering the state has about 40 million people, when you include illegals, 140k per year out is quite small.

And when you look at it proportionately in comparison to other states, insignificant at worst.

There are AT LEAST that many first time home owners in this state every year.

And the overall population continues to increase.

Hell, I WISH more would leave. A million per year for 15 or 20 years would be great. I encourage them. Get out! Get out!

LOL! So let me get this straight, people from CA move to WA, and then turn around and put the homes they just bought back up for sale then increase the prices?

Amazing!☺
