Now that the Kavanaugh appointment is done and we have victory, we have to turn to more serious issues like, "Can we beat the Russians at Bear Wrestling?"
The Russians are military and very friendly (they shake hands with everyone while wrestling). This bear wrestling warms my heart... and the bear enjoys it too.

Looks like a tame bear and he is also just playing. Cute.
Thought the guy with the stick was going to hit the bear in the head. Glad it didn’t happen.
That is one fat bear. A unit mascot I suspect.
Probably why we are always banging heads with them.
At something around 650 lbs. Victor packed a lot of power. He hit me with a forearm across my chest and the blow picked me up and sent me flying across the ring. It was the strangest thing because instead of feeling like I was getting smacked by a baseball bat it was like a gentle gust of wind came out of nowhere and moved me like a leaf, thanks to all the padding and hair that were part of Victor's arm.
I fought Victor to a draw, in the end we both danced around for a minute or so at the end of the match.
Final thought - Bears are like big puppy dogs, except they can rip your face off with one swipe of their claws.
two brothers from russia in the Pride fighting division of mma used to hunt bears with knives supposedly- Fedor Emelienko (sp?) (The emperor was his nickname)
My parents took us to a Sportsman Show and they told me I had a snake wrapped around my neck. I have a vague memory of it and haven’t thought about it in years. I still kind of like snakes. Victor sounded like quite a character.
Thanks for posting. It brought back pleasant memories and was fun to watch.
We’re sure that bear is just playing. I was just doing that yesterday with my 70 lb German Shepherd, who is still growing. She loves to wrestle around and even stands on her two legs and lifts her arms like a bear. That guy would have had no face if the bear was even mildly serious.
