Everybody Stop Worrying About Ted Cruz

Today’s Campaign Update (Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Deep [racist] Thoughts by Chris Cuomo. – Here is real, actual stuff CNN’s fake host Chris Cuomo had to say about Kanye West’s visit to the Oval Office, courtesy of RealClearPolitics:

Cuomo said didn’t care about what West said, he wanted to know what racist thoughts were going on in the president’s head.

“My curiosity wasn’t about what came out of Kanye’s mouth. My wonder went to what is going on in Trump’s head,” Cuomo said.

“Let’s take a look at him. Here is my educated guess, OK? Other than a warm serotonin flush of happy hormone, imaginary headlines, blacks loves Trump, he’s blacker than Obama,” Cuomo, imagining racist scenarios that he thinks Trump would think up, said.

Yes, friends, this is what passes for political and social commentary from the fake hosts on the world’s fakest fakety-fake #fakenews channel these days. Just one more reason why, if you watch CNN, you are part of the problem.

Man, nobody could’ve seen this one coming. Oh, wait… – You might want to be sitting down when you read this, but ABC executives are now thinking that maybe, just maybe, they acted a tad to rashly in firing Roseanne Barr and trying to bring the “Roseanne” series back as “The Conners” without its main star. I know, right? Who could’ve thought?

According to a report at the Daily Mail, one ABC insider was quoted as saying “We didn’t think it through properly. What Roseanne did was wrong but we shouldn’t have rushed to fire her. It was almost a knee-jerk reaction by Ben [Sherwood] and Channing [Dungey] who should have launched an investigation. This would have given them more time to listen to the public, advertisers and cast members to determine the best decision.”

Oh, but the navel-gazing over at ABC gets even better.

“When we greenlit The Conners we thought that the public would tune in to see the family return but what we’ve discovered is that people want Roseanne – they don’t want the family by themselves.” Somehow, you get the feeling that it isn’t exactly MENSA central over at the ABC headquarters these days.

Y’all need to quit worrying about Ted Cruz, ok? – All you folks out in states that are not named “Texas” need to quit sending me tweets, texts and emails expressing concern about Ted Cruz and his re-election race, ok? Ted’s going to be just fine, because most Texans aren’t stupid.

Ted Cruz is going to win his race against Irish Bob O’Rourke by somewhere between 10-15% of the vote. That’s how this race was always going to turn out, because despite what some “experts” in the Texas news media have been telling you, there is no “blue wave” materializing in our state, no real overriding desire for significant change among Texas voters. There just isn’t.

Every election cycle has its own macro-tide of inertia, an overriding momentum within the population at large, either for change or for preservation of the status quo. All the “experts” in the media and the political consultant class tend to focus on little micro factors like this week’s hysteria about all the money O’Rourke raised in the 3rd quarter from thousands of suckers in California and New York, or what the latest poll from Quinnipiac/Emerson/Gallup/Rasmussen/CNN/ABC/NBC, etc. says. In focusing on the micro-events, these “experts” almost all fail to accurately assess the inertia among the public at large.

This is why the polls and political “expert” class at large was so hilariously, embarrassingly wrong about the 2016 elections, not just in forecasting the presidential race but also the congressional elections. Almost all of them, liberal and conservative alike, placed faith in the myriad polls without noting that there was a very heavy overriding mood among the public for change. Simply put, 2016 was always going to be a “change” election, and Donald Trump was the only candidate on the ballot offering real, radical change.

This year, there is no such mood among the public, despite the best efforts of our fake news media to whip such a mood up with its 24/7 anti-Trump hysteria. The economy is booming, people have more money in the bank thanks to the Trump tax cuts, the nation is relatively at peace in the world, and the regulatory boot of the federal government becomes lighter on a daily basis. Nowhere in the nation is this more true than in Texas, where the oil and gas industry has helped to create one of the strongest state economies in the land.

Here is what has happened in the Cruz/Irish Bob race to this point: Irish Bob started campaigning in earnest in January, and the Texas news media cranked up its fawning reporting on him at that time. The national news media jumped into the Cult of Beto party in the spring, and Irish Bob had the playing field pretty much to himself right up until September, when Cruz finally began to campaign. By that time, the various polls of the race were showing Cruz holding just a 3 to 5 point lead.

At that time, I told readers that, as Cruz cranks his campaign up and gets his ads up on television, and the voters of Texas begin to focus on who Irish Bob really is, those polls will begin to loosen up. Guess what? Polls taken over the past week now have Cruz leading by 8 and 9 points. The other key dynamic in the polls in this race is that Irish Bob’s number never gets above 44-45. That’s his ceiling, and it is one that is most likely overstated.

Think about it: These same polls now show Governor Greg Abbott hold massive leads of 20 to 25 points over his hapless Democrat opponent, Lupe Valdez, who is completely out of her depth. No one is arguing that this race is going to be anything but a hyper-blowout, yet the Texas media wants you to believe that hundreds of thousands are going to go into the voting booth, cast a vote for the GOP gubernatorial candidate, but then switch parties and vote for the Democrat in the senate race.

That isn’t going to happen to any great extent – that’s not how voters in Texas or anywhere else behave anymore. So what’s going to end up happening is that, in this cycle in which the maco-inertia in the electorate is for preserving the status quo, the voters of Texas are going to re-elect Ted Cruz by a margin of 10-15% of the vote, which is what I’ve been telling you was going to happen since January, when Irish Bob cranked up his campaign and started raising money from suckers in other states.

If you want to worry about senate races, focus on Arizona and Nevada and Missouri and Indiana, where the races really are close. But leave us Texans alone, because Ted’s got this.

That is all.

focus on Arizona

What fun it is to watch Sinema implode as her past catches up with her.

I do fear McSally will flake out and become a McCainite but Sinema is far worse than that.

Yeah, I was curious about “The Conners” because I love watching the ridiculous implosion of the left. But with TV streaming digitally in all formats now, I know I would be counted as a viewer so I just stayed away.

Even a youtube click would tell them that I watched. So I stay away

I’m happy to hear that it was a flop.

Robert Francis O’Rourke (aka “Beto” O’Rourke), Cruz’s Fake Mexican Democrat opponent has grossed $37,000,000 in campaign cash. Following the example of Democrat Wendy Davis’s failed but lucrative 2014 campaign for Texas governor, O’Rourke has done even better in ripping off stupid Leftists with more money than sense.

Running as a Democrat in Texas is almost as good as winning the lottery, so there will always be a successor to these grifters.

I don’t get it about Beto running as something that he’s not-Mexican. You would figure that he’s the next pretty boy with a gift of gab. That’s all they got starting with the Kennedys and ending with Obama. Perhaps a moral victory when he loses?

“I’m happy to hear that it was a flop.”

??? It hasn’t aired yet. Series premiere is coming up. It wouldn’t surprise me if it got a decent first episode rating, like people rubbernecking an auto accident, but even John Goodman is on record pretty much saying it sucks.

You can fool some of the morons some of the time, Beto.

That’s good news BUT NEVER TAKE ANYTHING FOR GRANTED.
Keep fighting until the battle is won, then fight to get the terms YOU want.

I’ll stick with an oldie but goldie sitcom called Too Many Cooks. It’s been going for years and has the best introduction you’ll ever see.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QrGrOK8oZG8

It’s one of those shows that is simple, yet has a powerful message of hope and perseverance.

I notice Beto completely fashions himself after Obama. In his commercials, he talks just like Barack, uses gestures just like Barak, same tone, same phrasing as Barak, and same bull shit message.

Details on Sinema?

(BTW, Sinema was the 4th-most pro-Trump Dem in the House by voting record over the last 2 years.)

I’ve never understood the worry over this race. Senator Cruz got 300K more vote in the primary than the entire Democratic field combined.

He's actually a bit creepy looking.

Sure. The media is OK with Cruz now, but just watch. if he runs for president, they will discover the story about being born in Canada and repeat it thousands of times.

The races in Arizona and Tennessee don’t look close anymore and last I saw, McCaskill is down by 8 points in Missouri.

Mother McCaskill is getting desperate. Funded by Hollywood, unions, gays, etc. her attack ads have become vicious. She tries to present herself as a school marm. Matronly. In fact, she is a knife-fighter. I just hope Hawley can fend off these attacks and defeat her.
