Donald Trump superfan Kanye West put on his red “Make America Great Again” cap and headed into the Chicago suburbs for lunch at a Mexican restaurant on Thursday.
The rapper, music producer, and fashion designer ate at Pepe’s Cantina in Naperville, Illinois, for a meal of chicken tacos and to shoot some pool, the restaurant’s owner told CBS Chicago.
A Mexican restaurant may seem an odd place for a Trump fan to wear their hat considering the president’s rhetoric about Mexicans and his desire to construct a huge wall at the southern border to keep most of them out.
Trump referred to Mexicans entering America as “bringing drugs, they’re bringing crime, they’re rapists, and some, I assume, are good people” when announcing his run for the presidency in 2015.
But restaurant staff told CBS that West was “down-to-earth,” “kind,” and said he is a big fan of the food there. Pepe’s posted a picture of staff with West to the restaurant’s Facebook page.
“Thank you Kanye West for visiting Pepe's and The Can today! Glad to hear you love Pepe's as much as we do!” the post said....

The interests of the American citizen of Mexican descent are different than the interests of a Mexican national seeking to cross the Southern border illegally. In many ways, US citizens of Mexican descent are the US citizens hurt most by illegal immigration.

This is common sense to anyone intelligent. But tell that to the Racist Left, who were dumbfounded and confused that Trump got one-third of the Hispanic vote. As if all Hispanics should think alike and are all obviously for open borders and unfettered illegal immigration. All “Mexicans” are the same, amirite fellas?

You know very well that the left puts everyone into group identity boxes. And they are savage to anyone who acts as an individual and not as a stereotype of whatever ethnic group they belong to.

I listened to Candace Owens the other evening firmly say that she “speaks often” to Kanye West.
To my surprise she also said she “speaks often to the President”.
I know she coached Kanye before his Oval Office visit, even though she did not appear to attend.
I have no doubt that the Kanye/Trump friendship[ is being carefully groomed. And, of course, I think she is wonderful.
the wall is supposed to filter refugees or immigrants to processing centers sort of like cattle fences... What the big deal is in Mexico is that the coyotes won’t be able to stiff the peasantry with exorbitant fees, they won’t be able to rape the refugees at will, and they won’t be able to use the refugees as mules to bring in illegal substances. And those immigrants that are criminals will be filtered out as well... Not totally, but perhaps to a greater extent than is currently being recognized. I know a few Mexicans, and they’re good workers, they’re kind people, and they don’t like the criminal element coming up here anymore than you and I and other Americans do. So why wouldn’t they welcome a wall? They do! But they’re not reported, the Press has completely ignored those voices.
I wore my Trump shirt in a new Mexican restaurant down here...waitress told me she liked the shirt....they also offer cops/firefighters/military a 10% discount...I’m hoping they make it because the food is so excellent that other Mexican restaurants are just Taco Bells with more seating...
This is why newsweak is failing. Trump didn't refer to Mexicans, as in the average ordinary Mexican coming here legally on vacation, or for school, or legally emigrating. Trump refereed to the INHERENTLY CRIMINAL illegal alien invaders breaking our immigration laws, and caveated "and some, I assume are good people."
