Russia says it is ‘preparing for war’ following U.S. withdrawal from missile treaty

A top Russian official has declared that the country is preparing for war, following President Donald Trump’s announcement that the U.S. would be withdrawing from a Cold War-era disarmament treaty.

According to the U.K.’s Sunday Express, the First Committee of the U.N. General Assembly voted Friday against Russia’s proposal to save the Intermediate-range Nuclear Forces treaty (INF) between its country and the U.S., following President Trump’s announcement that the U.S. would be unilaterally withdrawing from the 1987 agreement.

In response, Deputy head of the Department of Nonproliferation and Arms Control at the Russian Foreign Minister, Andrei Belousov, told the U.N., “Here recently at the meeting, the United States said that Russia is preparing for war. Yes, Russia is preparing for war, I have confirmed it.”

“We are preparing to defend our homeland, our territorial integrity, our principles, our values, our people — we are preparing for such a war,” he reiterated.

Russian economy not good. Putin approval ratings low, much like they were just before he decided to invade Crimea to distract his people.

*eyeroll* too bad Trump is President, otherwise he would have gone for Belarus or some place else next.

Policy and action wise: President Trump has been way way harder on Russia than Obama or Bush ever were.

Nation state bluster. All nations are in a constant state of preparation for war. Any nation saying otherwise is a liar

All the more reason to close the southern border. We don’t want a Russian invasion.

Glen just can’t help himself... he is one sick (ill?) individual.
He is like a possessed unimpeded Kook Koo Clock on Speed.
(The squirrels in my yard are hiding in shame... they can’t force any more nuts into their turds, Glen wins again, he is nuttier)

I'm trying to imagine what nation on earth would want to invade Russia and deal with that frozen basket case of potato-inebriated Cossacks!? Not even China.

Rattle your saber at someone else, pal!

Are we prepared?

No, we are not. Every citizen needs to embark on a personal preparedness plan. Food, water, medicine, pets, shelter, weapons, ammo, first aid, barter materials, etc.

If you're not ready for a 6 month shelter in place, I strongly recommend getting started.

Little by little, get there.

The bluffing Russians know the real truth: Nuclear wars can’t be won. Pressing YOUR button means your adversary presses HIS.

The missiles fly past each other in opposite directions, killing both sides.

The real deal is to know where the leadership hangs out during emergencies, and letting them know you’ve got lots of special presents for just those places. That’s what Reagan’s military did with Andropov, Chernenko and Gorbachev.

We made all kinds of gadgets just to let them know there was no place for THEM to hide.

They didn’t care if most of their people died, but they sure as Hell cared about their own lives and that of their families.
