The good news in the aftermath

The results are in and the House has changed hands. In the aftermath, democrats plan to make Trump's life a living hell:

But few Democrats want to actively talk about impeaching Trump, whether it's on Capitol Hill or on the campaign trail. For many, the issue is a nuisance and a distraction from more serious matters. Senior leadership has also repeatedly cautioned against impeachment, warning that it would only deepen partisan squabbling in Congress.

Instead of impeachment, Democrats plan to tighten the screws by mounting an investigative blitz against the White House and Russian interests.

Don't believe it. There will be a movement to impeach Trump and that could actually help Trump. It certainly didn't hurt Clinton and America has no appetite for it.
According to two sources close to the House Intelligence Committee, who requested anonymity to speak freely about post-election plans, Democrats plan to focus a significant amount of energy on reopening the panel's now-shuttered investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election, and whether members of the Trump campaign colluded with Moscow to tilt the race in his favor.
Right. They're going to find something Mueller could not?
Democrats also plan to reintroduce legislation safeguarding the integrity of the FBI's ongoing Russia investigation by protecting key figures like special counsel Robert Mueller and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein. Moreover, they want to bring legislation protecting future elections from foreign influence by countering nation-state sponsored cyberattacks and disinformation campaigns.
They can introduce all they want. They have neither the Senate nor the White House. Of two Houses, the Senate is by far of greater importance. Trump will be able to keep on appointing judges and stifle democrat legislation. The GOP can expect a torrent of subpoenas.

I just watched that nitwit Ted Lieu say democrats plan to hold hearings on Trump's use of his cell phone. PLEASE do that.

One thing I find curious are polls regarding the direction of the country and the economy. Paradoxically, in a Rasmussen poll 53% think the country is going in the wrong direction but 53% approve of the way Trump is handling the economy.

The more democrats harp on Trump investigations the more sympathetic Trump will become. He will be able to parlay that into victimization status for 2020. So although the House fallen to the dark side, do not fear.

55% fear a coming recession. If dems do as I expect and block Trump's plans, there will be blame to assign.

The news is hardly all bad. In fact, much of it is terrific. The Kavanaugh effect was in full force. Many of the democrats on the Judiciary panel who ripped into Brett Kavanaugh were shown the door. And that's not all.

Taylor Swift continued her propensity for poor judgment in men.

One wonders if she'll write a song about how Bredesen broke her heart.

2020 is coming up fast and lots of dems will be vulnerable so many will want to just keep their head low and enjoy the ride on the gravy train, regardless of how frothy Pelosi and Waters wax in their rages.
Once Nancy demands and gets her own private jet and other perks again, she will quiet up a bit.

So although the House fallen to the dark side, do not fear.

...

And it won’t be much worse than the Paul Ryan House.

If anything it will provide the motivation to put the GOP back in charge in 2020.

Why are Americans worried about a recession? There is only really a handful of factors that can cause a recession. One is if the Fed overplays its hand. If a worldwide recession is strong enough to affect the US. Or if the Democrats and the Deep State try to run a coup against the POTUS.

But under normal conditions I see only a continuing of 4% growth

The ‘house win’ is the shiny new toy the Liberals can occupy themselves with, while the President pursues his agenda right under their noses

If sniping at Trump is what the Liberals think they were elected to do, then that's OK with me.

They can grandstand for the MSM and their ‘constituents’ can pay for the pleasure of seeing them DAILY making asses of themselves.... but Liberals won't REALLY be delivering on what they actually OWE their supporters...NA-that is totally incidental for them.

THEIR real interest is standing in front of a camera and trashing the President.... Oh well, if that's what they want.

So, they don’t like the President on a personal level, but they like their paychecks. I wish we could test the 53% that think the country is going in the wrong direction of a variety of subjects, starting with a basic, civics test.

On a side note, I’m overjoyed that folks like Ocasio-Cortez won, even though it was a no brainer. Now we get to sit back and watch her, Pelosi, Waters, Harris, Warren and a few others tear each other apart for the chance to get in front of the nearest microphone and/or camera. They’re going to force each other to go, more and more, full blown bat sh*t crazy Leftist and it’ll be great.

Reality Check here. Trump only lost 23 seats in the mid-term.

That is 1/3rd of the losses Clinton and Obummer experienced.

But, now they control the bank account. Do you think they’ll be afraid to shut down the government when they don’t get their way with the President? Do you think they’ll have no issues with the Fed raising interest rates and slowing things down? Do you think they’ll do their best to bring back the same mortgage rules that tor apart the housing industry if they aren’t getting their way?

I think they’ll be more than happy to do all of that and more, in an attempt to make the President look bad and they’ll have the MSM doing their bidding.

the good news?? the rats went all out for this election yet squeaked by in the House and lost seats in the senate...

how many times did you hear or see “November is Coming!!” from the rats??

I live in a garbage liberal area (two miles from the clinton’s) and saw all kinds of bumper stickers pleading “vote like your rights depend on it!!” and “its going to be a November to remember!”, and people with sticks of blue waves on their cars and all other kinds of BS...

Yet despite all the enthusiasm, all the money spent on candidates and all the money spent on protestors, this is the best they can do???

There is. We added to the Senate and held on to some important Governorships in TX, FL and GA. FL and GA were huge targets for the Democrats and they failed. And we are done with Beto!

Not only was IT a no brainer, SHE is a no brainer...which is why I, like you, am overjoyed. She will be amongst the best advertisements for a Dem rout in 2020, plus providing innumberable great memes for at least the next 2 years. Just remember, Hank Johnson, Sheila Jackson Lee and Maxine Waters won’t live forever.

Hank Johnson is my representative. I laugh every I hear his name because I know something ridiculous is on the way.

She’s so dumb, it’s almost unimaginable. But she’ll be in good company.

No. This campaign meant nothing to the fake Hispanic. It was all for name recognition for his POTUS run.
