VIDEO

My November 9, 2018 weigh-in. 246 pounds or 20 pounds less than my September 28 weigh-in of 266 pounds.

I am zeroing in on a 100 pound loss and I am going to try for it at December's weigh-in when I hope to hit 220 pounds. Since May 27 when I weighed 320 pounds I have lost a total of 74 pounds.

After the weigh-in, I celebrated my weight loss at a Brazilian buffet. Oh, and I ate AROUND the carbs.

~~~
I was with a friend a few weeks ago that wanted to hit a buffet. I had no problem going around the carbs. Steak and shrimp were the highlights.
It’s nice to know that you can completely fill your stomach and not see the slightest spike in insulin. Your liver & kidneys might not be happy having to metabolize all that protein so fast but if lions can do it, we can too. lol
“Will you eat a Thanksgiving “feast”?”
Turkey is not fattening. You can eat as much as you want, just don’t eat much dressing and mashed potatoes.
Thankgsgiving just has to be a cheat day, no matter how vigilant you are.
Dressing and mashed potatoes are so good. Also cranberry sauce is loaded with sugar. Squash by itself isn’t too bad but most squash recipes are sweetened.
And then.... don’t forget about the pumpkin pie! Common!
For Thanksgiving, I tend to stick to the foods that we don’t have very often: Turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, some sweet potatoes, sometimes a fruit salad. I am not a great cook, but like to make Thanksgiving dishes “from scratch”.
But it sounds like you are doing very well with your food choices and diet!
Low carb. I tried it before but I kept sneaking carbs so it didn't help much. However, I have now completely eliminated my carb cravings ever since I started taking Crave Stop.
Yes but I will be eating AROUND the carbs. Oh and I might have a work around for the stuffing.
Which means I have a big challenge to eat around the carbs and lose that 26 pounds to get the immediate goal of 100 pounds total lost since May 27.
BTW, if I do lose that weight in December, I will have a YUUUUUUUUUGE announcement to make.
Keep up the great work and the discipline!
I encourage the effort every time I can.
I had a cousin who was very sensitive about her weight, so during a visit when I thought she'd lost a lot of weight, I didn't say anything.
Seems I was the one person she WANTED to get feedback from.
She quit trying, soon after, and I've always felt guilty, even if it seems crazy or egotistical to think I could have made a difference.
We lost her in her 50's.
Do it, do it, do it. You gotta lose that weight!
At my brother’s funeral his wife was saying that 2 days before he died he was bragging he went down from 260 to 230 since he started dieting. He was obese since he retired 10 years prior. He cheated himself out of 15 - 20 years.
I wish you the best of luck. Just stick to it.
Dont celebrate by eating. That is sending your brain the wrong message. Celebrate by doing something else you love—or something you were not able to do when you were “eating.”
When I has losing weight, I went to shirts and ties that would not fit me. You spend a similar amount..but you get reinforcement every time you put it on.
