For democrats this was the year of identity politics and it was a banner year for it. Via their incessant virtue signalling, they've gotten four dubious choices elected to the House. Two are flakes and two are Trojan horses.

This one really baffles me. Somehow, Arizona chose a left wing twit over a patriotic combat vet. Sinema hates Arizona and stay at home Moms, among other things:

I mean, what the f*** are we really talking about here?”

This woman is a complete ditz. A continual whiner. She claims not to be able to afford an apartment in Washington DC. Somehow, AOC apparently thought she actually could live in the House of Representatives. It's a House, right?
However, she just might be able to afford it.
How would she pay for Medicare for all? Easy!
During an interview with Jorge Ramos on Monday, Ocasio-Cortez said, “People often say, like, how are you going to pay for it? And I find the question so puzzling because how do you pay for something that’s more affordable? How do you pay for cheaper rent? How do you pay for — you just pay for it.”

She has immediately picked a fight with fellow democrats, and then whines she's being discriminated against.

Seems the Somali-born Omar may have married her brother for illicit reasons:
Long after it could have any bearing on Ilhan Omar’s pending election to Congress from Minnesota’s Fifth District next month, the AP’s Amy Forliti took a detailed look at the story that Omar had married her brother in 2009 for some dishonest purpose and only recently went through the exercise of divorcing him. The story is “Minnesota House hopeful calls marriage, fraud claims ‘lies.’” Omar actually called the claims “disgusting lies.”Omar has deceived her supporters (well, not all of them). She lied about her support for the anti-Israel BDS movement:Omar refused to be interviewed by the AP for the story. Omar further refused “to provide the AP with a list of her siblings[.]” Indeed, Omar refused to facilitate the AP’s investigation of the claims in any way. Attempts to communicate with Omar’s ex-husband, now in London, also proved unavailing (“The AP’s efforts to speak with Elmi were unsuccessful”). This is consistent with Omar’s practice since I first began writing about the story in 2016.
Reading Forliti’s AP story last week, I drew adverse inferences from Omar’s refusal to respond or be interviewed. I have done so from the first time I asked Omar about the story in 2016 and received an offensive non-response response on her behalf from a local criminal defense attorney. I quoted the attorney’s non-response response verbatim in my 2016 City Journal column recounting the story up to that point in “The curious case of Ilhan Omar.”
Without explicitly saying so, Forliti’s AP story retraces the steps Preya Samsundar and I took to look into the claims in 2016. I think that Forliti’s story leaves the claims roughly where Preya Samsundar and I left them, though Forliti’s story carries the imprimatur of a mainstream media organ.
PJ Media’s David Steinberg has taken on the case this year. Unlike Forliti, however, he has actually advanced the story. Steinberg’s work supports our conclusion that Omar married her brother in 2009 for some dishonest purpose. Today Steinberg reports “Official School Records Support Claims That Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) Married Her Brother.”
Working from New York, Steinberg has produced a truly dogged piece of investigative journalism that puts us all to shame. As is her custom, Omar has declined to respond to Steinberg’s inquiries. See the email to her that he has reproduced in his story. Perhaps there is some misunderstanding. To say the least, an explanation is called for.

How and why the American left has devolved into the kind of party one finds in a banana republic is a mystery. That our media is so anxious to promote their corrupt candidates and the low-brow tactics they employ is a tragedy. Do they do it because they can no longer win by promulgating their Orwellian vision of a socialist state, mandated equality of outcome? Perhaps. They will never sell socialism to enough sentient Americans to win. They need millions of uninformed voters to succeed....What they have become threatens to destroy the greatest nation on the planet and they are doing it on purpose. They have nothing but contempt for the US as founded and for those of us who love this country....The mystery is why so many Democrat candidates who are so obviously ethically challenged won in races that should not have even been close....How and why do Democrats continue to vote for unqualified, dishonest candidates?
What is wrong--indeed extremely disruptive to the social or political order, is that the identification in the types of instances, addressed, is with imaginary grievances of one identifiable group against another identifiable group.
The wrong--usually a wrong to both those who are seen as vict4ims and those who are seen as their problem creators--is in scape-goating others; also in diverting attention from how to responsibly solve problems to simply sitting back and blaming others; that is, in voting for destructive political intervention in interactive dynamics, in place of the sort of personal responsibility, which can actually improve one's condition.
It is the grievance mongering, not patterns of normal identification, which is undermining the peace across the Western world, and the destructive actions being taken by Governments, who feel they must indoctrinate their citizenry with an insane guilt over their generations of positive achievement.
This schtick is only going so far. The electorate isn’t falling for the “vote for the person of color even though he/she’s a Marxist.”
Been there, done that with Deval Patrick and Barack Obama.
Stacie Abrams and Ron Gillum both lost (though barely).

Tired of having the fruits of their labors confiscated by an overpowering British government, America's Founders declared themselves free and independent. Most American schoolchildren can recite their claim that ". all men are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights ... to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness." Less familiar, however, are these lines from their Declaration of Independence: "He ( King George III ) has erected a multitude of new offices, and sent hither swarms of officers to harrass our people, and eat out their substance .... He has combined with others to subject us, ... imposing taxes on us without our consent."What, then, did the Founders consider to be the real cornerstone of man's liberty and happiness? On what basic premise did they devise their Constitution? Let them speak for themselves:

What was wrong for individual citizens to do to one another, they believed, was equally wrong for government to do to them. The right to own property and to keep the rewards of individual labor opened the floodgates of progress for the benefit of the entire human race. Millions have fled other countries to participate in the Miracle of America.
Unless laws are enforced, dishonest, ethically challenged people will win — by cheating.
If someone’s caught cheating in a Las Vegas casino, his winnings are confiscated, he’s thrown out, and possibly law enforcement is called in.
But when someone cheats to win an election, which is a time-honored tradition among Democrats — it’s an accepted fact that dead Democrats vote in Chicago and why not everywhere else? — nothing is done to punish the perpetrators.
Until Republicans, or other honorable people who want fair elections, have the courage to step up and demand that voting laws be enforced, the dishonest, cheating Democrats will continue to win unfair elections.
