allowed to “pray” over US SEAL TEAM caskets....without family members permission...and confusion if the labelled caskets truely held the remains of those deceased....

No. That is in 9/11 truther category. Nobody came up with the Rube Goldberg chain of events to assassinate them. It was the natural result of Obama inspired ROE and the utter incompetence of our senior military leaders.

The entire problem was our incompetent COIN generals who sent out small units to get ambushed and refused them artillery support or CAS. The “plan” was whenever someone was in trouble to send out a platoon of SEALs, by helicopter. So that’s the bright plan of our Generals that were busy worshiping Obama. Send out a small force. When they are pinned down, use NO supporting arms, then send in a ridiculous giant helicopter flying clown car stuffed with seals. It was failure waiting to happen.
Despite today’s hit movies where hapless rifle companies are saved by one or two SEALS, SOF forces are not super infantry. They are fantastic ad unbelievable for some things, but they are almost incompetent at big scale standard infantry warfare.
They were killed by Obama and by incompetent generals, but they were killed by pig headed tactics with the main goal of not killing any afghan or generating bad press. It was not a targeted assassination. One of the ROE then was that they could not shoot at the enemy if they dropped their rifle.
The assassination theory lets our generals off the hook too easily.
