Typhus is on the rise in Los Angeles, with its epicenter in downtown, where the city’s sanitation officials are struggling to respond to the nearly two thousand “cleanup requests” they get from locals every month.
Like San Francisco, LA is struggling to clean up city streets of human waste—specifically feces—due to a lack of public restrooms and a growing homeless population.
There was an average of 700 requests in the area in the spring of 2016, but officials now claim they receive about 1,900 cleanup calls per month thanks to the number of growing homeless camps. But the growing homelessness and sanitation nightmares have led to yet another crisis: a rise in flea-borne typhus.

This is the kind of problem you’d worry about in Nigeria or Congo....not San Francisco.
The chief way of resolving this is to pick up the homeless crowd, and open up a desert ‘welcome’ center in the middle of the California desert...with a cot, three hot meals a day, and a fenced in compound with no exit.
How soon before I need inoculations before visiting California?

Don’t look now but national organizations are no longer booking their gatherings in San Francisco. Rational people are quietly beginning to avoid this city. It will be amusing to watch as the Silicon Valley types take over the city and deal with these problems in their own way. Those self entitled narcissists have no sense of humor. Soon we will be really feeling sorry for the homeless.
California has become a third-world country. What the HELL are we doing to our gorgeous country??

Third world illegal immigration is a full package deal much like cable. No a la carte option.
I went to Pasadena a few weeks ago and came away thinking the same thing. Then I realized that California is in the same country and I’m gonna get the standard Somalia/French Guiana/New Guinea regimen ASAP.
