The Left is fond of calling we who hold to the principles of freedom, self-empowerment, equality under the law, law-and-order, strong defense, family values, etc. as fascist.
Let us review what fascism is about and who is actually fascist:
If you have no problem with big government/high taxes because "we are the government" you are a #Statist.
If you think that everything is generated by society, so resources should be allocated by its agent, the State, you are a #Collectivist.
If you think private property should only be tolerated if it serves the public interest as determined by the State, you are a Statist Collectivist #Fascist.
If you think our gross wages belong to the collective and our net pay is our allowance, you are a Fascist.
If you think the media should advocate for a certain ideology and party rather than provide complete information to a feared, despised general population, you are a Fascist.
If you think that children should be forced into government-run schools -- with no competition from private education -- so the students will be indoctrinated into a certain political/social ideology, you are a Fascist.
If the truth is your enemy and much of your energies are spent obfuscating what you stand for and your ultimate goals, you are a Fascist.
If you think a certain scapegoated demographic [Caucasians] should be subject to gratuitous racial vitriol and random racially motivated violence [#knockOUTgame], you are a Fascist.
If you preach to another demographic that they are born Victims and are thus Entitled to do unto others; that they needn't bother trying to be decent, law-abiding, productive members of society; that they are doomed to be losers, criminals, parasites -- and must therefore be dependent upon a cruel, arrogant elite, you are a Fascist.
If you think those who disagree with you are, by definition stupid, ill-informed, evil and/or mentally ill ["_____-phobia"] and therefore have no right to freedom of expression, association, accommodation -- or self-defense if physically assaulted, you are a Fascist.
If you think it's OK to have a speaker with whom you disagree shouted down, their audience subject to violence -- if you consider your side entitled to control what others get to hear -- you are a Fascist.
If you think it's necessary to have fraudulent votes from the dead, non-citizens, fictitious characters nullify votes from legit citizens, you are a Fascist.
If your demagogue politicians use gerrymandering, ballot box stuffing to disenfranchise voters so your side will win at any cost, you are a Fascist.
In other words, if you are a #Leftist #Democrat, YOU ARE A FASCIST!
To liberals, the Nazis weren’t fascist because they believed in big government, they were fascist because they were racist. And liberals always get to decide who is racist, which is to say, everyone else.

And the fact is, Leftists are far more prone to judge people by demographics.
History has shown time and time again that authoritarian/totalitarian/fascist state power always leads to bad things.
People who want the power of the state to be their saving justice (because they always think it’s a good thing and the historical figures all got it wrong somehow) need very very desperately to distance themselves from historical fact, so they (quite brilliantly) accuse those who believe in liberty and the autonomous individual of what they don’t want to be accused of. It’s only brilliant because it’s always difficult to retort with what is effectively saying “No I’m not, you are!”

Yes, the whole fascism thing is truly absurd. I came to conservatism through libertarianism because I recognized that the main threat to individual liberty and human thriving comes from the left and their love of control freak central government. I and the other conservatives I know are anything but fascists. It is a completely absurd claim. But, that’s the left for you. They are at war with reality and fully willing to weaponize absurdity.

Fascism and leftardism have the same fundamentals and essentials. In a nutshell, socialism requires statism, which requires altruism, mindless submission & obedience & duty,and collectivism, which requires the irrationalism of social subjectivism, relativism, emotionalism, polylogism, and nihilism, which requires the psychology of low self esteem & dependency & victimization, which requires primacy of consciousness and pragmatism.
These are the opposite of the principles of the founding fathers
I only associate with the first group, and if engaged politically with the second or third I unleash holy terror and brimstone upon them until they pee themselves and crawl away having learned never to appear that stupid before me again.
Of the second group I only wish painful death and am prepared to mete it out if necessary. Of the third only shame and banishment will suffice.
But I really have no strong opinions on the matter.

Fascists were Fascists because that’s the name they chose for themselves.
Leftists are neither stupid nor crazy. [Their unquestioning followers may be.]
Leftist leaders know exactly what they’re doing and the likely deleterious consequences of their policies being enacted.
That makes them evil.
